  1. That's a lovely photo. Thank you. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  2. Great to see a picture of a Foxglove class. My parents had one and I have many happy memories of her. As an adult when I got my first boat I spent a long time cruising about looking to see if I could find one to no avail. After much cruising I eventually saw one moored up just outside of Beccles. The next time we were up she had sunk and remained there for quite some time. Very sad. If I remember rightly there was a Salmon postcard of a Foxglove class moored outside the Horning Ferry Inn. I have searched numerous times on EBay but have yet to find one. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  3. Sorry if this has already been posted but I've just been flicking through the Christmas edition of the Radio Times and noticed that on 2nd January at 6.30pm on BBC2 there is a new series of Great British Railway Journeys with Michael Portillo. The first episode is set in Norfolk and Michael is "learning the ropes on board a wherry." Later the same evening on More4 at 9pm there is Episode 3 of Penelope Keith's Coastal Villages where she visits the villages of East Anglia.
  4. It's starting to settle in Brentwood but don't think it will be around for long. Was planning to get my Christmas tree today!!
  5. We had difficulty getting back to our mooring at Loddon this morning. We had to moor in the basin and unload there whilst waiting for the water levels to subside. Even then it was still coming over our home mooring.
  6. The three week old advert is on a site selling boats as homes in London. The later advert on Apollo Duck is selling her as a boat.
  7. Had a quick look, too but the one on there is no longer available. https://www.gumtree.com/p/boats-kayaks-jet-skis/houseboat-project-33ft-broads-cruiser-/1248384963
  8. We just use the cheapest loo roll from Aldi (other supermarkets are available) and have never had a problem. Today's cheap loo roll is quite good quality. Never had a problem with it disintegrating or falling apart at inopportune moments.
  9. Can only think of one - near Roman ruins?
  10. The Lion Inn is starting to get some great reviews on TripAdvisor. Looking forward to going during our trip in August.
  11. Can absolutely second Speedtriple's post. Have eaten at all three aforementioned establishments in the last fortnight and all are recommended.
  12. Have just got back from a week away on the Southern Rivers - well just the Yare and Chet as we moor at Loddon. We ate at The White Horse at Chedgrave- our local - never a bad meal and also the Coldham Hall as they couldn't fit us in at the Surlingham Ferry. Had a fab meal at Coldham Hall. Burgers to die for. Also had the best Ham, Egg and Chips there last summer that I have ever had. Great service. Would heartily recommend.
  13. I am lucky enough to live near a Costco warehouse with a petrol station attached. £113.9 for premium diesel and has been for a while.
  14. The rocking horse is superb! Well done!
  15. That would be lovely, thank you. Nothing official has been said yet but departments are being moved and it's only a matter of time... Criminal to think how it has changed since I started in 1993.
