  1. Thank you that is what we thought. Now just need someone to do it !
  2. Hi. Doe anyone have experience of replacing the side linings on a Princess 33? Can anyone be recommended? It looks as if if the windows are in two pieces and hopefully may not need to be taken out. Any thoughts will be much appreciated. Regards
  3. Hi Thanks for all the replies. We have only had the boat since June and the previous owner died so we have no point of contact. We think it is a Phototonic 100w with a 30 amp controller so given what has been said it should take a 300 w panel.Don't think that it is that old as Kingsley Farrington bought it in ,2019 part refurbished it but only use it twice. So far it has been a whole lot of trouble but that is boating for you.We figured that someone on the Forum would know. You guys have a wealth of knowledge and experience. Many Thsnks
  4. We have on our boat what we think is a 100 w solar panel. We dare not risk the batteries going flat as we have an electric toilet so we want to fit a larger one..Can we draw on the huge amount of knowledge on this forum and ask if we replace it with a 300w panel would it be a straight drop or would the whole thing need rewiring? Many Thanks Keith and Pauline
  5. The Princess has an aircraft of 8ft 6inches.Ludham will be O.K at low water still not looking forward to it though.
  6. As far as I know you use both but you can use one but the steering is not that good.We will find out when we sail her.Apparently you do not need a bow thruster. One engine in forward one in reverse. However we didn't fancy trying that so we have had one fitted. After all the years on the Broads we are not good h elmsmen! t
  7. Hi Everyone I think my typo has lead to some confusion.I should have typed Wayford not Watford. However there are some really fancy ultrasonic sensors on the tanks which are new but not connected. It is with a boat yard at the moment who are lost as to what to do with them. The previous owner Kingsley Farrington sadly died so we are hoping to have the electrical engineer involved to look at them once back at Cove.It has three tanks and a transfer system but we don't know how much they hold in total or how much is in them at present. It is a touch scary getting it to Cove as neither of us have driven it yet. Full of really high tech gear the only problem is we can't work any of it! Many Thanks
  8. We have bought a Princess 33 with two Ford Mermaid 80 hp engines.Could anyone give advice on fuel consumption. The fuel gauges are not working correctly and we need to take it from Watford to Brundall.I Many Thanks
  9. We have just bought another boat despite saying that we never would again ! We have done all the cruises and exotic holidays but in reality nothing comes close to the Broads. However our old flag is somewhat tatty.Where can we purchase another one? Many Thanks
  10. Hi Yes thanks we have seen that one.
  11. We had an Ocean which we sold before Covid lockdown.Didn't realise how good it was until we started looking for another boat.Don't mind really but 30 foot is about all we could manage now.We saw an advert for an Ocean Lady of Leisure but cannot seem to contact anyone so may have been an old advert. It was moored at Broadsedge if anyone knows of it.Thanks for replying.
  12. Hi Looking for around a 30 footer. Will pay top price for top condition but also would look at a semi project boat. Many Thanks. Please PM.
  13. We hired last week and moored at Herringfleet.A young couple in a day boat moored up .The girl jumped off complete with toilet roll and proceeded to the long grass. We than passed them at another mooring doing exactly the same.It is not hire craft that cause this disgusting issue but day boat hirers. Not wanting to sound ageist but I fear the younger generation are probably the biggest culprits.
  14. We have put out enquiries. But yes things are not as they were a few years ago.Happy Days!
  15. Phil has moved to Wayford Marine with two of his original staff plus a couple more.I spoke to him this week for advice on the Aquafibre.
  16. That Mirage looks very nice.Have noticed it earlier. Will be worth a look.Having had a boat before and now regretting selling it. Maybe our expectations are a touch high. There is a very nice Princess 33 but it won't pass under Ludham. We wouldn't consider any other boatyard to maintain any future boat but Moonfleet Marine hence the aircraft criteria. Thanks for all the thoughts.Much appreciated
  17. Hi Yes we have seen the Aquafibre. The broker faxed us through the last survey. It needs probably 15k on it new paint job etc.We are coming down next weekend to scour the boatyards
  18. Hi We are looking for a boat 35k ish .Preferably rear or centre cockpit.Must be able to go under Ludham bridge. In good condition but minor refurb is ok.Ideally with a bow thruster but not imperative.Very little about at the moment so thought we might put out some feelers.Message me please if you have such a rarity. Many Thanks
  19. There is a wonderful app now available to enable sufferers to monitor and self manage the condition.Trials so far have resulted in hospital and GP attendances greatly reduced.GPs can arrange it.
  20. No it went through Boatshed really quickly within days really. We too have bought a bungalow which we are refurbishing whilst still living in our current home.Mega busy.Cannot think why NYA would be involved it is moored at Cove Marina ,may be it needs work but would be surprised if that is the case though as Phil from Simpsons had it all winter and went over it with a fine tooth comb.We looked into a share of a syndicate boat but that was not for us.We are on Silver Serenade from the 20th July.Give us a wave of you are about.
  21. Hi John We were surprised to see that you are selling your price and joy. We know exactly you what you mean by the time constraints. We have just sold the Ocean Dawn for the same reason. All good things come to an end.Initially we were sad but now feel quite a relief that we don't have to worry about it a anymore. We have not given up on Norfolk in fact are hiring next week but the week is over we can forget about it until the next time!Does the fridge still go? Good luck with the sale.
  22. Hi Steve Could you pm with more details please. many Thanks Pauline
  23. We just do not have the time to use it now. We have had the boat for 7 years and I kid you not we have spent circa 40k on it.Once we started we had to finish it to restore back to it's original form.Like yours it has always been in private ownership so the fittings are superior.Phil at Moonfleet has done the majority of the work.If it sells someone will get a good boat but they are old boats so we will see.
