  1. There is a story behind me selling the boat, at the time it wasn't financial but the way things have gone i probably did it at the right time. The biggest decision i had was either a caravan or a motorhome, all my life from 17 i wanted motorhome, ' read all the mags in the 70's ' never wanted a caravan. After a lot of thinking about what would be best for us it had to be a caravan. So here i am after never wanting one or wanting to tow one, got one and loving it. Trouble is now thinking about a bigger one . All this from spending 4hrs on a ride on lawnmower cutting a 4 acre field
  2. Would that be on the Broadlands Site or Manor Farm, Our first visit back to the Broads since we sold the boat will be in July with the caravan at Manor Farm. that will be 18mths since selling. Looking forward to it, still not missing the boat but enjoying caravanning.
  3. I'll add this link for the site, allready had it on my favorites as a possibillity for coming back with the caravan. https://www.pitchup.com/campsites/England/East_Anglia/Norfolk/salhouse/black-barn-farm/?adults=2&availability=on&child_ages&children=0&inline_search=1&nights=3&pitchtype&scroll_to_pitchtype=%23CheckAvailabilityPanel&type=3
  4. Now you have me at it, need to change the avatar anyway now i haven't got the boat.
  5. I too enjoyed owning my boat for 15 years And am now in the same boat as you (excuse the pun) Glad i sold it when i did and don't miss it. Now a caravaner and loving it. if you had asked me a couple of years ago if i would want one i would have said never. Never wanted one or wanted to tow one, how things have changed. I hear caravaners complain about how expensive site fees etc are getting, Ha peanuts compaired to boating owning. I will be back visiting Ludham in July but with the caravan for 10 days, looking forward to that. Hope to meet up with old friends then.

  15. So, For example, if a hirer/ syndicate owner decides to have their last 24hrs at say Sutton staithe leaves and the next hirer/owner then goes to the same place for their first 24hrs the same day, the boat could be percived to have been there for over 48hrs, would that be breaking the bylaw rules?
