It's not just the Ranworth issue . As with all things that come to a head it's a culmination of several different issues. The ongoing over inflation Toll rises has been nibbling at the tolerance of most boaters for years. There are several other issues that we are not allowed to discuss here that also are pushing the distrust of The BA to boiling point. I cannot discuss the issues but I can ( I think) say that us law abiding boaters are seen as low hanging fruit and are getting hacked off about it.

Every connoisseur seems to have one 😲 Couple that with the loudest exhaust on any Broads boat 😲 Plus the dreadful lack of maintenance by the current owners of the hire boats 😲 I for one wish they had never been fitted in the first place 😭 Yes I know I am going to get lambasted again but I will lower myself from my high perch and actually speak to other boaters 😲 AND even those who hire boats 😲 A connoisseur hirer had taken over his boat from a well known boatyard at around 1400 and has run of power by 2000 that very evening. Not just the blooming "run engine" light coming on but totally run out of power including the starter battery. The next morning an engineer turned up and replaced the entire battery bank 👍 The engineer then said that " this is most unusual" Unfortunately this resulted in all within earshot almost falling in the river laughing. This was a self confessed boat enthusiast who had over 50 hire's under his belt. He was fairly desperate to get on shore power to avoid a repeat performance. I suppose it is credit to hire company that they fit shore power to these elderly boats 😎

No I didn't pay. Rather polite lady asked how long I was staying and when I replied overnight she asked for £10. I politely replied that I would not be paying and she took down my boat name and registration number and said as she would pass it on to head office. I politely replied "fair enough" and that was that. Bit of an anticlimax actually 😲 Suppose we have to see where it goes from here

Tried it last night and it was excellent 👍 Food and service very very good and quite unexpectedly the price was not expensive either. Highly recommended 👍

It's usually HW but tonight at Gayes Staithe the first one up is a NBD at 1915 so after a run up from wroxham they need to run the engine 😲
