Well the Huntsman is well and truly open. Looking very good and obviously popular. Looks like they have built a wall around the back (flood defence presumably).

Beer was good (apart from the Doombar) :naughty: and we tried the grub too which was excellent. Service was efficient and friendly and prices reasonable for the area. Highly recommended. Unfortunately not really walkable from the river.

Tell that to Braveheart's crew, Howard!

In fact they walked to Cantley and back to Bells Marina last week!  :naughty:   :naughty:   :naughty:

I hear that the Huntsman is still closed and the legal wrangling over the flooding continues. Good news for the Shoulder of Mutton though which I hear is doing a good trade.

Meanwhile JF's favourite pub, the Ram, had had a major refit apparently. Should be open soon, so if anyone is passing............(you never know it could be me) :default_norty:

"Could" Howard?

Seriously though, i know i make a joke of it, but in all honesty, if it was`nt for people like your good self Howard, people like me would`nt know about these pubs, especially where the food is concerned, as i`m allergic to alcahol.

The Ram opened its doors after the refurbishment on 29th November at 12pm.

The Grand Re-Opening is on 1st December (tomorrow) just in time for my arrival. I can hardly not go take a peek can I? And then it would be rude to not help contribute to the cost :default_beerchug:FB_IMG_1543566226343.thumb.jpg.cb0bff4383677d5cfb68acf6170e6de4.jpgFB_IMG_1543566218040.thumb.jpg.595abd40a32544fd1c6435394bd42979.jpgFB_IMG_1543566223518.thumb.jpg.cef8dc82b56c1fc9c2fa54550035ce23.jpgFB_IMG_1543566220805.thumb.jpg.7c2d14aa5709142a696a469031b296d9.jpgFB_IMG_1543566242641.thumb.jpg.111322945097000cfef82be5aeb45fff.jpgFB_IMG_1543566245613.thumb.jpg.fc10365f66f1f886d42ae3c8a49c7da6.jpgFB_IMG_1543566249172.thumb.jpg.3bde2bed0fa633524d6b9739c177c51a.jpgFB_IMG_1543566252560.thumb.jpg.2d4bdc780ded044465511dbc1bb7fdb7.jpg

Every time I hear that, a cold shiver overcomes me, and probably Jayfire, and probably Norfolk nog, and probably Gracie, and probably …. well, lets just say, it's turned bloody cold out!

I never used to be, but about 14 -15 years ago, every time i had an alcaholic drink, even just one lager shandy, or one Bacardi and coke, i would then get a throbbing headache which would last for around 3 - 4 days. At least i`l never lose my driving license for drinking and driving, but speeding ...................... i`l say no more, except that i did excercise some common sense when i traded my Triumph Daytona 955i (145hp, 165mph) for a Triumph Street Cup (55hp, 110mph ish).
