4 X Burner Hob

Recommended Posts

Surplus to requirements

One Vanette 4021 in full working order, jets for LPG Propane - However if you want auto ignition you will need to acquire / fit the button and spark driver box.  After fitting a normal gas tight test would be wise of course

Free to a good home but with a suitable donation to forum funds of course

has it got the auto shut off valves pls?

Looking at the underside, there appears to be a thin copper pipe going to each gas valve, which to me, implies it has flame failure. However I am no expert.

Yes the thin copper tubes appear to be the thermocouple to each burner for the flame failure device. It looks like it had electronic spark ignition fitted in the past but has been removed, hence the hole in the middle between the burner knobs where the button was sited.

According to the label, it will burn on Propane or Butane, but the appropriate jets would need to be fitted. It definitely has flame failure.

Two practical hints :

1/. The primary air intake is actually around the bottom of the burner cap and can become blocked with cooking fat. For the same reason, never use a foam type aerosol oven cleaner, or this will block off the air.

2/. On top of each burner are two screws and it is best to loosen these by half a turn. Otherwise they get rusty and then you can't get them off when you want to clean the burners.
