New Film From Broadland Memories - 1966

I’ve just been watching the latest film which Carol has added to the Broadland Memories website (via YouTube).

It’s a fascinating bit of history from 1966 showing a family aboard Fulmar 1, a magnificent wooden forty footer from Richardson’s. There are some really good shots of the Southern Broads too including Oulton Broad, Thorpe, The New Cut and Norwich.

Some interesting boats feature too including Morning Flight and a huge coaster (presumably on the Yare). There is also a good shot of a Herbert Woods classic (Countess of Light) ?? plus an amazing view of what looks like a Freeman on the plane, it’s certainly going some!

Very interesting film and well worth a look. Many thanks to Carol (and of course Video Impact of Loddon) for sharing.
