Although I have reminded several BA employees, including Broads Control to look out the key, can anyone confirm that my favourite broad is actually now open???

It wasn't last Saturday. I thought I saw the ghost of Herbert Wood organising a gate crash though!

I hope it is planning a visit on Monday afternoon, we had that penciled in as a stop to pass away an hour or so..

Was opened today by the area ranger.

I was going to chug in there last Saturday and then remembered it's not open until end May Bank Holiday (Easter excepting if I recall). Is it still privately owned or is the closure a conservation thing?

I am sure it will be open as I heard a BA person saying is the key still in the tupperware box in one of their billets.

Now wouldn't that be a good idea when they have finished Hoverton Great Broad.

Not sure why prodding is needed?? Black horse is open from easter Saturday for one week and then from Whitsun Bank Holiday Saturday until October 31st. Has been for years. Why would it be different this year?

As Horning Sailing club, had a rescue boat / power boat  instructors course on the broad yesterday, I can confirm that as usual the broad .was open.
