larch for wooden projects

not sure of my facts here but ....

i was listening to a radio 4 program in the car and caught bits of it that leads me to believe that its a really

good time to grab some larch planking for resto work.

if im right then the rhododendrons as now passing on a disease to larches so owners of larch woodland are felling them to avoid the disease and

cash the wood in.

if this is so then it will have a serious impact on future larch stocks and larch on oak was a popular choice for wooden broads boat hulls.
