Help with Gardner engine

Recommended Posts

JP    0

Hello all,

Does anybody know much about Gardner engines? We have barge fitted with a lovely old Gardner 4LW. Boat new to us this summer but now it's getting colder it's a job to get it started. Does anyone know a way of solving this as well as any other expertise and advice regarding said lump of an engine?

cheers,

John

Its been a long time since I've done any Gardening, but as I recall there is a cold start button on the fuel pump which needs to be pressed to allow excess fuel for starting in cold weather. Hope this helps.
