Poaching on Horsey Mere.

I was reading about people poaching for pike on Horsey Mere last week in the Angler's Mail magazine and I was shocked to read that even one of the top names in pike fishing was caught fishing illegally (though they are unamed in the article).

There are also accusations that wildlife has been disturbed and the owner John Buxton along with his wardens have been abused, because of this there is a chance that fishing might be banned on Horsey Mere all together but I hope it isn't.

I hope whoever was fishing there illegally gets the worst punishment they can get, because maybe then it will send a message out to all the other people who fish illegally.

Hi Michael

I agree with you, and hope those responsible are dealt with.

As with so many other things, there is always a small minority who end up spoiling things for everyone else.

happy fishing.
