  1. Sorry if this is boring, my wife just txt me to say they have 987 ppl booked in for their jab today. The numbers are going up weekly and the teams have really become super efficient at processing ppl through the hub. One thing to note, they get around 20 to 30 no shows each day which I find a bit bizzare. So come 3pm frantic phone calls go out to GP surgery's to find replacements, they have even taken ppl off the Street somedays in an attempt not to waste a single dose. All power to the thousands of NHS Staff, military personal and of course the wonderful volunteers across the UK that are work

  2. I send a monthly subscription to help out Adnams Girl's Broadland Memories website as I think that is a worthy cause. I would if the need arose quite happily help out financially with Craig's database too Griff

  3. It doesn't say you can, why not err on the side of caution, if you can't reasonably go there and back in a day, just wait until the 12th. We have waited this long, a couple of weeks more may make the difference between a small rise in infections or something worse. I doubt that any of the social media experts will pay any fines that might be issued and most marinas are saying, overnight from the 12th, anyone breaking that may be looking to find a new mooring.

  10. It is very much appreciated - thank you so much for your ongoing support xx As has been said, I don't believe there is a question of financial support being needed for Craig's database at this stage. Offers to assist with preserving, continuing to maintain and to take the database onwards have been put forward from more that one source and I'm sure that Kerris will do what she feels is best when she is ready. I am certain that Craig will have done regular backups of the database, and that those backups will no doubt be able to restore any data that has been lost in the intervening months/

  11. First season of no live Sky F1 ... It’s been painful not watching Live practice and qualifying.. I’ve watched the highlights earlier but not the same buzz as watching live... I’m not being tight but I find it disgusting that Sky can justify charging £18 month... When Last year and and the years before was Only £10 month.. This season hopefully will be an exciting one.. It’s great to see Fernando Alonso back behind the wheel... Must admit love the New Aston Martin team colours... Be interesting how Vettel can improve on his failure at Ferrari... Not sure how Perez will get on playing

  13. Presumably these are all people that took the time to make an appointment for themselves and then either forgot or decided they didn’t want the jab after all. Very sad that - and selfish.

  14. For the life of me I'll never understand why people have to post anywhere that they are going to do something which may be against the law/guidance or whatever. Why not just get on with it and keep quiet about it? We don't need to know. Unless someone can can give me a constructive argument for doing so, apart from the right to freedom of speech of course. It's the same old same old: 29th March, 12th April and 17th have been clear from the start. Once again as before, people are now interpreting soundbites to justify the agenda that we all want, to be able to go where we want, when we wan

  15. That's the trouble, there is confusion as the latest published legislation repeals the previous laws and only mentions commercial properties for overnighting, the roadmap says different, one is law and one is guidance, I'll say no more on this to avoid getting a smacked botty from the mods, although that in itself has it's appeal..... I'm still hanging back till 12/4/21.

  18. Yes there is a lot of discussion over overnighting my view on this is simple , until officialdom states overnights are permitted I will assume that they are not allowed before that . too many are seeking loopholes to justify ignoring the guidelines , and at present 12/04/2021 is the date ukgov has stated overnights ARE permitted

  20. Only about a mile from Thorpe/Commissioner's Cut Helen as you head towards Norwich and around the same from Norwich YS, so very walkable for those without mobility problems. It is along the main road though so not sure Seren would like the walk so much

  21. Fine establishment. It's a bit of a hoof either from Thorpe or Norwich YS. Well worth a visit and the beer is superb. It's on a main bus route though so not difficult if you don't fancy the walk. Was the Mustard Pot (former Adnams pub) bought by Colin Keatly and done out in Fat Cat style - red and black paint and chess board floor. Very popular now though and a stop off for Norwich fans as Carrow Road isn't too far away. Highly recommended.

  22. Agreed, but perhaps there are more sensitive ways of going about this. It takes different people different times to come to terms with their loss. I have no doubt that Craig's relations will be delighted to know that his work is held in such high regard, and even happier to find that there is a real wish to keep it up to date. but is now the time? Wait whilst keeping an ear to the ground is my advice, It may be that this will cause a backlog of data to be input, but what price is that? No, tread softly and all will be well. (In my very far from humble opinion)

  27. Erm, with respect grendel, there are quite few of us who don’t think that. I don’t think anyone would disagree with your advice that people should read the guidance and make up their own minds but I believe that would still leave a question mark in many minds. Until the legislation/guidance or whatever from the government actually says ‘you can’t overnight away from home until 12 April’ the head scratching will probably continue.

  29. once again I will remind folks that our stance on this is that until the government or BA advice says it is ok to stay overnight, we would not advise anyone to do different. There are many out there saying that the overnight stay part is not included in the new legislation, my advice there would be to read the thing yourself and cross reference all the notes and all 96 pages, and decide for yourself, rather than relying on the word of someone that may be wrong in their interpretation, the legislation may have omitted this as by 12th of April this advice will be repealed(or whenever the da

  30. Lots of organisations making up their own rules or advice but the new legislation makes no mention of staying local. As long as you stay within your bubble in your own accomodation you can stay overnight.

  33. Unfortunately some just did the least they could to tick a few boxes and carried on as normal, one of my locals did that and we just stopped going in there after the first visit, the pub around the corner were brilliant in there measures and often had to turn customers away as they were full, the landlady had started wiping tables/seats/door handles (thoroughly not the usual token gesture) well before restrictions came into force last march.

My recollection from my course is that VHF should be used for communication and should not be used to make unnecessary transmissions or transmitting superfluous signals!! Not that I use VHF these days but I think still remember things like that from the exam room!!! Having said that I expect most people use it for that end from what I heard transmitted the last time i listened!!

  47. Not really. The DVLA processes vehicles every day of the year in vast numbers. The BA tolls office processes the vast majority of enquiries between Mid March and Mid May each year and I can assure you that the 12th April will be spurring a great many people on. And there's plenty of people (I could name a good few) that perpetually cause problems for the office too which causes delays all round. It's very easy to sit back and criticise whilst having no real knowledge of the workloads. I am sure there could be efficiencies, but unless you're a systems analyst with a working knowledge of
