  1. I might have one, i could price it in with some new toe rails!
  2. Hi Andy, Clearway was originally a Greenway Marine fit out, she then went to Kris Cruisers and came back to Norfolk a couple of years ago... With regard to the fit out and orientation of the bed, there are many different ways to build a boat and 90% of the time there is a compromise, this is why you can't please all the people all the time, the make up Double in the saloon is massive with no restricted foot room, I do understand the foot room thing, as I am slightly lanky but I wasn't going to miss out on a lovely boat as she only has a 6' mattress in the rear.
  3. The bath colour isn't that bad in the flesh, I can't easily change it and would probably replace it with a shower tray if it came to it. I have not measured the bed but being 6'2" myself i would probably sleep diagonally! I will measure it and let you know if tall people are being discriminated against. I don't plan on building any single level boats so need to buy them but there is not much decent at acceptable prices coming on the market right now...
  4. We are putting another new boat into the fleet in a couple of weeks, 'Clearway' is a single level Alpha 32 which will sleep 3-5.. we will do a bit of work on the outside and fit a bow thruster but she is a lovely boat.
  5. It was Prisma, it let very well but it was cheap, Far Horizon lets well, so do Sunways and the new one Skyway is off to a flying start, all 3 of them are fairly easy to get on and off..
  6. Far Horizon is from Horning Pleasurecraft (not Richardsons)
  7. Hi Andrew, I love nearly all boats I do really like classic boats but am also keen to modernise the 'New boat' offering i think I am lucky to be based on the Broads as canal boats are really boring and there is no option to refine them, I would find that boring. My favourite boat of all time which has been a constant for 20 odd years is the Ocean 30, possibly because it was Dads first order when he set up Aquafibre, possibly because I loved working on them and driving them or possibly because the look good, I don't like canopied boats in general so its odd having these as my favourite, I would like to update one or have had the moulds to build a new one.. I hope to find space to run about 15-20 boats over the next few years, i will sell some and build some doing some deals along the way and probably updating second hand where necessary. I will put some pictures up of my new boat soon, but that will be in a different section!
  8. Hi Simon, The air draft is 9' so will struggle with Ludham, and definitely Wroxham, Ill get that updated.
  9. Hi, Skyway was named after a Chrome BMX i never managed to get, she was released last week and has her first hire on the 3rd of July, hopefully we will release her sooner but I had to draw a line somewhere... as always it seems that behind the scenes there was more to do than we expected ! I think the sales were all done from people ringing up as it wasn't on the internet and I only gave them the release date about a week ago, I have tried to keep the price down, I am probably missing out on a few quid but hopefully that will land me a few loyal customers.. I plan on being here a while yet, even in a couple of years when the frenzy has passed..
  10. I have a new few 2.5 water pumps which came from the Acle fleet, they are available through taxi spares companies.
  11. Hi everyone, Im not sure how I missed this thread but really appreciate the comments, you would not believe how many people proof read this but missed the 'N' as for the rest it is subjective but i am surprised there are no comments about the position of St Olaves bridge if you email me at hello@broadshols.co.uk we can arrange postage (£3)
  12. I have a few BMC spares like mounts and manifolds, I also have a shaft log like the damaged one, I struggle to throw stuff away which might be handy even if I don't run stuff myself !
  13. Hi David, this is a Sheerline 1050 we got from the Thames a couple of weeks ago, she is nice inside but just needs varnish and Heads doing, unfortunately all the handrails and mooring cleats were loose so headlining need to be removed to sort them, she has had a hard life but we are on the case with the cosmetics.
  14. Thanks for the comments, we had to go a long way backwards first but we are really happy with the outcome,
  15. Hi Simon, no, its silvertex (or something similar) its one of the only bits left from before the tart up!
  16. Tideway is finished and on her second hire! Here are some photos!
  17. fees paid until Dec 2020 hope someone takes her on, I have seen better boats broken up recently
  18. makes me feel happier about my plans for my wooden hire boat Jomaric, hopefully she will be ok on hire, I remember the state of the fibreglass boats we had on hire from Benson, I can imagine the worry to the owner of their wooden boat entering the concrete lock for the first time ! I hope it goes well for them
  19. yes it was years ago, she has been in private hands for a number of years now with some decent upgrades but still a solid boat.
  20. https://www.nya.co.uk/boats-for-sale/bounty-37-mkii-2/ without the front well there is more room in the saloon of the Bounty 37..
  21. we have recently done a refit on a Bounty 40 centre cockpit, it involved new mattresses, flooring, repairs to bulkheads, new toilets, washbasins, worktops in heads and galley, and new cockpit seating also some cosmetics outside and all the windows rebuilt and new inverter+ charger. the refit we are currently in the middle of is having a new engine, dashboard, charger/inverter, curtains, flooring throughout, galley doors, large areas of rotten flooring and linings replaced, all windows removed and rebuilt, new toilets, washbasins and worktops in heads, rubbers replaced and large areas of damage repairs being done as well as the canopy sides being stripped and rebuilt with metal in the place of wood. both the above are for hire, the next one i do for myself will hopefully just be a polish!
  22. how much height would anew fixed bridge gain? I think double track fixed bridge would make sense if it were doable as nothing is likely to group there again, the last two openings (probably 3 )were to let boats out. Fixing Reedham is unlikely but it would make the Yare Navigation race much more interesting!
