  1. You forgot to mention the remote controller for the bow/stern thrusters, Jon! :naughty:
  2. I bought exactly what you are talking about (a colour surveillance camera) and installed it recently, wiring it directly to our TV screen (it doesn't have a monitor). My first attempt at using it was a disaster because I just couldn't remember that what I saw was a reversal of what was happening (i.e. Left was Right!). I ended up reversing (albeit very slowly) directly onto the bow of the boat |I was trying to avoid...... It's all wired up for 12V with an accessory socket plug and I'll post it to you for £25 (Inc. P&P) if you want it! It's got full colour, night vision, sound and 18M of cable. I fixed it to a heavy block of wood and stood it in the rear window, the wires I just laid along the side of the galley passageway.
  3. Welcome aboard from us, David. You'll find us a friendly lot and someone somewhere on the NBN will be able to answer any questions you may come up with!
  4. Put in your inimitable way, Jon, who could resist such an offer? :clap
  5. Wonderful, Alan.... I still, to this day, remember my first solo flight (In a Chippie)!
  6. Absolutely, Andy. With that system in situ onboard Friday Girl we've had the same start/services batteries for over 4 years and they weren't anywhere new when we bought the boat! That being said we bought new ones just after the Horning boat show because the old ones were gassing continously and needed topping up quite frequently.
  7. I guess it's 'cos it's half-term, Simon?
  8. Your two posts above (5 & 7) are amongst the most informative I've ever seen and will be lodged in my laptop's memory for all time! :bow No more wondering if we'll get under bridges or not! :clap
  9. I seem to recollect that Neil (SPEEDTRIPLE) offered to organise one! Although he did suggest Coldham Hall. Perhaps even the WRC as I'm sure we could pre-book slots and meals by late September. We really need a new topic on this.....
  10. Well how about one AT Beccles in the late Summer/early Autumn? (By which I mean late Sept/early Oct). We'd also probably see Lou, Sue, Col & Mark in their own boats!
  11. You're certainly seeing a variety of scenery and weather, Simon and Mel! And blimey, Thorpe to Acle in one go is a real flog, isn't it? I do Brundall to Acle usually and that's far enough. Does Mel spell you at the helm? Whatever I'm glad you are taking it all in your stride and hope the remaining few days are kind to you.
  12. Unfortunately, Alan, my tanker has broken down!
  13. And that, Clive, sums up why you have so many satisfied customers here on the NBN! :clap
  14. Stuart, Hi and welcome aboard from us.
  15. Diesel at Goodchilds (Burgh Castle) was £1.13/Litre last week! And for a Northern Broads pump-out, Boulters (Horning) at £10 is really excellent. Their diesel was £1.18/Litre,
  16. Are you sure you didn't used to work in Jon's yard, Alan? :naughty:
  17. Welcome aboard from us, Gary. We moor at Brundall and will keep a lookout for you. (p.s. if you want a very good looking burgee for her just fill in the details at the top of the page!)
  18. Now that's something I've never heard of! I guess you mean with two ropes, attached to either end?
  19. Neil, Hi. Put your curser two lines below your writing and then click on "add to post" at the bottom RHS. Then you won't get the "attached thumbnails" bit.
  20. You appear to have edited out as well my reply to the second one, Alan. They both loaded OK with me. The second one showed a much larger and better pic (of what I think is an F6F) than in the small ones you've left! I did, in fact, ask David if the plane was an F6F.
  21. And don't worry about it being choppy! Apart from Barton and Hickling Broads most of them offer shelter near tree-lined banks! There'll be a few members about when you come up and if you head South it will be relatively peaceful!
