  1. Following on from another topic, I thought it might be helpful if we post actual heights we see under the bridges (and the state of tide) as we pass by in the next few months. If you're not too sure about the tide then just give the height and time and day and we can work out the relationship with LW/HW. e.g. Reedham Swing, 21st June,10ft 4ins, LW+0.30mins, (or 10ft 4ins at 13.32 on the 21st June) We can build this into a pretty comprehensive planner for us all.
  2. Where will you be, Jan? We're at WRC Thursday and OBYS over the weekend.
  3. Brill, Iain, absolutely brill. I've just read it through (twice!) and find it a fascinating story. :clap
  4. What a wonderful thread you've started, Jan..... I really do love this forum! :clap
  5. Posted Today, 10:02 AM I don't know who told you that, Janice, but cats have been welcome onboard since the times of the Pharaohs. They were both companion and rat/vermin catcher until perhaps more recent times! Snap, Mowjo................. :cry
  6. Well said, Mate! We're out and about for a couple of months or more at a time and this is the exception rather than the ruler...
  7. I sincerely hoe not, Jan. I've seen ocean-going wafi's up to that trick along the south coast but never on the Norfolk Broads. I'd suggest a loud comment: "I'm surprised you'd show-off something as insignificant as that" would sort him out and most probably cause hilarity amongst his friends! (As a lady you'd get away with it!) :naughty:

  9. Yer luff seem tyt enuff fer me, Bor! :clap
  10. Strow, Hi. Well, at last I've got it going.... I deleted the whole lot and started again using your figures.... it worked, so you weren't really beaten! :clap
  11. Yep, I've done that but it now says immediately "send/receive complete" but the message hasn't been sent.
  12. Many thanks you all. I've set up my account as above and it now receives....... but won't send! Outgoing Server SMTP 465 "The operation timed out waiting for the server" comes up after a minute or so.
  13. I've recently been changed over (by BT) from Yahoo-BT to BT Mail. I use Outlook 2003 and I had to change my settings fom POP to IMAP/SMTP. Now Outlook will only send mail but not receive it. As the receive IMAP details are then copied to "send" I can't have made a mistake in them, otherwise I couldn't send, could I? The server port numbers I've entered are IMAP 993 and SMTP 465. I've spent hours on Google and BT Help but to no avail............ can someone please help! :bow
  14. Blimey, Jon, I thought I was an early bird but you'd certainly get the worm! :bow (I'm certainly looking forward to our visit to Wayford Bridge later this month!)
  15. Grace! See my last post, (#10), above... I was joking!!!
  16. On second thoughts, as it's not your boat, perhaps a more judicious approach will suffice!
  17. Grace, bring her in towards the waiting mooring at about 20-30degs at 4mph and at about 10 feet from impact put the wheel hard over to port and simultaneously apply lots of reverse power..... You'll certainly excite the peeps and if you get it right you'll almost certainly impress 'em! :naughty:
