  1. Russell, Hi I doubt your draft will be a problem on the Southern Broads. Your air-height probably precludes much of the Northern Broads, if you can at first get under the GH bridges. We had a 4'6" draft yacht and went pretty much the whole length of the Yare and Waveney (but NOT the Chet!) without problems.
  2. Alan, Hi. I find it truly remarkable what solutions you two have come up with to achieve your aims... Good Luck! :clap

  4. But who is going to patrol the Wroxham and Ludham areas??? "The launches have been replaced by the heavy weather vessel Spirit of Breydon patrolling Breydon Water and a new generation launch with a hybrid engine patrolling the River Yare."
  5. Well at least it's not all happened in the Spring, or even worse, Summer.... :cry
  6. Probably retired to Campbeltown Loch and tried to "drink it dry" ! But what if the boat should overturn And drowned in the Loch was I? You'd hear me shout, you'd hear me call out "What a wonderful way to die !" Chorus: Oh! Campbeltown Loch, Ah wish ye were whisky! Campbeltown Loch, Och Aye! Campbeltown Loch, I wish ye were whisky! Ah wid drink ye dry.
  7. Crikey, John... that shows how long it is since we last moored there! :naughty:
  8. Great! Perhaps you'll let us know when you are more certain (we need to get spaces taped off for members to moor)
  9. G'day, Keith, (aka KTPB!) I never bother to sign off as I then don't have to sign back in! This is one for Jonzo!
  10. That was Jonzo, not Col who replied John That was Jonzo, not Col who replied John That was Jonzo, not Col who replied John Thanks, Guys; we've got a Cobb onboard too. Also I've got a couple of throwaways somewhere. Mark, Hi I think you mis-read my post! I was aware that it was John's post..... "
  11. Martin, Hi. That was many, many years ago when a murderer may well have been hanged...
  12. Col, Hi Thanks, John. Col, can you get the bar-b on-board St Moritz, please??? :bow
  13. Look forward to seeing you! 14. Or you can come onboard and have one with us!
  15. Hi, Steve, Great to hear you about again. How's things on the river (or under the surface?).
  16. Why can't you side-tow her to the yacht club, Alan? £250 seems a lot of bread!
  17. Thanks for that but unfortunately we're at the Spring Meet that weekend and our boat's not big enough to carry all the bits we want to sell! We've got local auctions near us, Trevor, and the problem is most of our stuff is specialist boat/yacht orientated and might only attract scrap value! (e.g. for the 35lb CQR plough).
  18. Quite breath-taking quality of work, Jon! :clap
  19. Now that's a definite, Grace!
  20. Sounds like you had a good day out, Jon!
