Howard said "which is the Capital of Ale - Norwich or York"
Norwich has four breweries:
The Norwich Bear Company
Fat Cat Brewery
Winter's Brewery
Craft (Redwell) Brewing
York has three:
Marston Moor Bewery
Ossett Brewery
York Brewery & Visitor Centre
Well said, Alan.
We've had some great nights in there with Bill and Ros. The "Rammer's" 50th was one of the best does we've ever attended and Bill and Ros really pushed the boat out on their behalf.
RIP indeed, old guy.
Wow, Lori, that must have been close.
I don't know if they still do but BB used to wire a "stop-relay" into their boats' engine for such warnings! We dis-connected ours on Friday Girl for just the time when it happened where yours did... Gt Yarmouth with a running tide.
Congratulations on keeping a cool head!
I think that might be a bit harsh, Simon. I'm sure lots of smaller yards would love to run their own advertising but surely the time and costs involved are prohibitive?
And you sometimes see cruisers with round the boat fendering (as our black fendering is) which is inset with bin-iron! I feel so sorry for the newer boats (Brooms are an example) 'cos a side to side contact would produce a very nasty scratch at best...
You were at Ludham (or Womack) Staithe, Mandy.

Poor you with the loos... did you get any redress from them?
Lovely last two pics, Martin.
We have a large window at both ends of our lounge and a Blackbird flew into one recently, killing itself. Mary-Jane told me that as it could see all the way through it presumed it could fly through......... we now keep our blinds down at one end or the other (open, but it's enough for them to see).
