  1. I hope the comment about eating them was a joke, if not I would certainly not offered you any advise on how to catch them in the fist place.
  2. I would suggest you get a few maggots, a pink is about right. Set up with a float on around 4lb breaking strain line as the main line, then get some size 16 hooks to nylon, sit the weights on the line to cock the float so about a half inch is showing. Put a couple of maggots on the hook, fish close too or out of the back of the boat about a rods length, and keep feeding 6 or so maggots around the float, be patient and the fish will come. One important thing is to plumb the depth and fish on or just off the bottom. Any questions just ask. Good luck. Oh, get yourself a little disgorger, it will help unhooking the fish.
  3. Frank, but this information is a little late, I have just purchased a frying pan
  4. Wait for Gracie to have a moan again
  5. Thanks Gracie, slightly longer as requested
  6. We have just come back from another week on R.T. with more video clips, but this video is from a couple of weeks back. You may see a couple of area's around the Broads that you might not usually get around to seeing, also featuring Hardley Wind Pump. We hope you enjoy it Best watched on You-tube in HD.
  7. If you want to have a go yourself and not get into trouble with the authorities you can purchase an 8 day licence for a tenner, I am not sure if it is cheaper for a poor old skint pensioner but it might be worth a look.
  8. I like the idea of this nude cruising, I may well present my next video naked, what do you all reckon
  9. Why do Salies have motors on the back of their yachts, ut look down on us stinkies? Always puzzled me that one
  10. We have been visiting the Broads since 1974 and alway thought we would settle there at some point in our lives. I intended to retire early if I could, and that did happen, but we are still in the Midlands. There is a hell of a lot to consider, well there was in our case, we talked long and hard over many years prior to my early retirement and fully intended to live in Norfolk, but we have a family and Grandchildren which we adore and would miss them so much, we see them on a daily basis as it is now. I am also involved in a hobby situation, and the Midlands is an ideal situation for it. That said we were still set on leaving, that is until one day Jackie said, the only thing is, is that it will be no different if we live there. It was that statement that made our minds up, and that was to stay in Leicestershire, which we love by the way living surrounded by beautiful countryside, we have our family and friends on hand BUT, we can come to Norfolk whenever we want to, and having the boat we have a second home there. We feel we now have the best of both worlds. We can be there in just over two hours, have a week in Norfolk and a week at home, not a bad compromise I think you would agree. I know people who have moved to Norfolk and have loved every minute with absolutely no regrets, I also know people who moved and regretted it almost instantly. We were chatting to a lovely couple in the grounds of the King Head in Wroxham only a few weeks back, if you look at my last video you will see them in the garden. They moved to Norfolk I think twelve years ago, they love it, BUT their Daughter has not spoken to them since and they have no contact with her at all, very sad. So Gracie, there is a lot to think about before you make your decision, but if you do as we did, take your time, I am sure you will make the right choice when the time is right. Good luck.
  11. Sorry Guy's not Broads related but I thought some of you (Gracie ) may enjoy it. Please remove if not appropriate.
  12. Thanks Guys, just got back yesterday from another week so a bit more video to edit. Gracie, if I did not no better I would say you were extracting the you know what
  13. Forgot to say best viewed in HD.
  14. Sorry for the delay in posting, this ones from a couple of weeks back when the weather was not too good in Norfolk as you will see.
  15. Sound like a great day, keep at it I am sure you will come up trumps, one of the best Tench baits ever is white bread, I'm sure even you can manage to hook a bit of flake on your hook.
  16. When the boat is not in use, is it best to leave the motor leg in or out of the water?
  17. Ha ha. maybe I am not the one to ask after just returning home after two days without a bite But any good ground bait would do, I like to have some particles in like Hemp, it keeps them foraging for ages, don't spread it over a big area though, just around your hookbait.. Also you can't beat a good worm. Let us know how you get on.
  18. Thanks Guys, its going to be warm all week so you should get some rays. Gracie we need to tie in, but don't tell your hubby
  19. Those who were in Norfolk this past week will know how chilly it was, what with more or less total cloud and a North wind it was not pleasant at time, we did not venture far but went on the river each day. Here is a short clip of our latest visit.
  20. Great film, I really enjoyed that.
  21. Anyone know what time the tide comes in
