  1. Glad you had a good holiday on the Broads, pity about the foul weather whilst you were here. By the way if I had not told you before,we were on holiday in Dorset at the same time,we stayed about 2 miles from a place called West Moors,it was scorching hot all week,T shirt weather everyday, what a difference a few miles make. Also whilst I was down in Dorset,i just had to show the locals how to catch fish
  2. Better still leave Keep Nets at home,I am a great believer in not using nets for pleasure fishing, what is the point just so people can see their catch, put them straight back if you get a good un ,take a photo.
  3. Brian Your pictures bought back some happy memories when we hired Melody 1 a few years back, best Broads Holiday we ever had,and dare may I say, plenty of room to fish off at the stern.
  4. I would strongly recommend you go for a long shaft,it will make your boat easier to handle and will be a dream, with a short shaft your boat would probably wander a lot and also cavitate, the long shaft will make her better all round, even mooring will be easier.
  5. You can stay in the corner all day Jill, because your hat is better than mine
  6. Funny hat, where has it gone? Jill you will be in the corner also if you keep doing that to my beautiful piccy.
  7. What make of boat is it ,that will decide what engine it will require in shaft length,I would suggest a 10-15 hp ,pref 4 stroke as it will be more quiet and cheaper to run,it is very important that the shaft length is correct.
  8. Will the culprits have to sit in the corner with a dunces hat on,if so please get a size 58 cause that what I take.
  9. I use thumbnails http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/

  16. Yes they can fish from moored boat, but top swim is on the right hand corner of the shingle part (in my opinion)
  17. The free mooring spots are no fishing this time of the year, but they can fish from the shingled part and further along as it is owned by the parish council and fishing is allowed,as you said the bonus is you can pop over the ferry for a pint or 2
  18. There is gold in them there hills,it must be the sun shining on the gold,Fools Gold
  19. Try Postwick Staithe, opp Ferry Boat Inn,there are some super swims there,I have always had a good days fishing and it is still one of my favourite spots,
