  1. And Chicken for Christmas dinner, the only time you ever had chicken for dinner, how good it tasted,no preservatives,or injected with water, just straight from the garden coop and into the oven.

Before you comment Nan used to pluck it first,Grandad then had to kill it and put it in the oven, what memories.

PS I cant get the Christmas smileys to work,it just opens up the window and it disapears

  2. I always used to wonder where my 2 pet rabbits went, they used to disapear a couple of days before Christmas.

Also Christmas prezzies,an apple and an orange,a few nuts, boiled sweets and a jigsaw puzzle,my puzzle always seemed to have a piece missing.

Great days and great memories, would not change them for anything

    Now off carol singing

  3. They already do it for the Coastguard run choppers, e.g. Lee on Solent, Stornaway and Portland that I know of (But they are already going to close the helicopter service out of Portland).

Their biggest problem may be that most of the privatised choppers seem to be flown by ex RAF or ex Navy pilots.

So if the Navy and RAF aren't training them then who will be?

Still it won't be a problem immediately as the existing military SAR crews will probably be available to join!

I cannot see Prince William working in the private sector

  4. Ganging up on me now eh?, that`s just not fair, Karen and i still have a big mortgage (for another 9 1/2 years) as we only got together late in life, so have the expense that most people had 20 years or more ago. Hopefully in about 2 years, we`ll eventually have one. Just a shame the ones we`ve really liked have all been around this year, and sadly, will more than likely NOT be available when funds permit. Until then ....... STOP GANGING UP ON ME :lol::lol::lol::lol: .

    What is a Mortage Neil?

  5. going back to the post, i have seen this on ebay before. Three possible reasons;

1, as has been mentioned its a mistake, but if the ad already existed and the price has been alterd then typo is doubtfull.

2, Sell a large quantity at a low price so that your ad shows you have sold many units (and feedback will mostly be good) then hike the price up, people looking are fooled by the fact that loads have been sold and buy one.

3, they have much less in stock than they say and the price hike is done so you dont sell many until more stock comes in, and if you do sell one at the high price then its a bonus.

It makes you feel that you never want to buy anything again, might see them on Rogue Traders next, and the boats on sale at inflated prices (PUN)at Lathams

  6. I am up for a quiz at least once a week,I volunteered and done the last one only for it not to continue,if it is agreeable I will volunteer to be the quizmaster once again.

Before I commit myself i would like to see a few members joining in the quiz, come on lets have some winter fun.

  7. Would we be doing what I am now, without the innovation of people like Steve Jobs, yes I mean sitting in front of a computer comunicating on a forum?

    I don't think you!

Tecnology is a very powerful tool,so powerful that one day unfortunately it will destroy the human race,it will happen because the way it is advancing is frightening, just stop and think about how it has come over the last 25years.

As for people having the new must have latest gadgets, why not if they have worked for the money, everyone likes to have the latest what is on the market whatever it might be.

  8. This is not the fault of the hire company's,it is a society problem, you will get noisy and annoying groups of people whatever holiday you book wether it be boating, seaside, hotel, coach trips and even caravan holidays.

These people usually behave, but the root of the problem is ,yes, too much consumption of alcholol, and when they are ,or have been drinking, these people become the hooligan element.

Cheap booze is readily available today in supermarkets etc so it is easy to stock up and drink all day long, hence this is the problem.
