  1. Jaws, what a smashing post and made me smile Yes some of it sounds familiar, especially the bits about beer/wine and suntans.......I don't mean to brag but I am quite a good fisherwoman, the men folk in my family can get quite frustrated when I'm catching regularly and they're not and yes I do gloat lol, but I don't take it seriously for me it's just a bit of fun and part of a Broads holiday, although we do fish a lot of local lakes at weekends. Good luck with it Alan, I imagine we are all going to hear about the really big one that got away, story of my life lol Grace p.s Fishing is also great if you're not catching (rarely happens for me ) for people watching (gongoozling) I like to think of it as looking out for peoples safety and not being nosy at all
  2. That could have been Alan and Dave, they are out on their Boat, probably having far too many beers and trying to fix something that probably don't need fixing on Orca lol Sounds idyllic Ray & Carole, you can go off some people you know try not to drink too many G&T's all that raising a glass will make your arms ache then you won't get any work done, or is that the cunning plan? Grace

Oh behave yourself Iain, you'll give yourself a migraine lol.......aren't you supposed to leave a little something on for the imagination, so yes I would keep my shoes on At least like LeoMagill I'm honest and would have a bloody good look Grace p.s Anyone know where to buy some decent binoculars?

A very warm welcome aboard BoldBoy, thank you for answering my original questions and very good luck to you, I just wish I had the courage to give it a go, wouldn't have to worry about matching my shoes to my outfit lol Griff, I'm loving the pics, where, may I ask did you get such a big horn? Before any of you filthy minded lot make comment, I mean't the gold thing he is holding Grace
  5. Hi Wonderwall, a very warm welcome aboard from me Coming down from Scotland (not another one lol) only kidding, we have a lot of Scots on here and lovely they are too Also can't help with the Boat I'm afraid...... have a lovely time, I of course am not nosy, it's the others Grace
  6. "Still, if she is doing that, us Mods will get some well earned respite!" Oh Iain, how wrong can one be The ruddy camera keeps turning off grrrrr Grace p.s I know the name of Buffalo Bills Boat but does anyhone know what type of boat it is ?
  7. A couple of points if I may.... "I really don't like calling you that!" Why not, if the flat cap fits (Smelly blew a raspberry at me today) Jaws, some of us are not in need of a fish finder on our Boats as we are good enough fisherwomen/men to find the fish ourselves FishFinder, well done on the day boat, she looks a cracker, hopefully in time you will have a whole fleet, good luck with it Grace
  8. Thank goodness, I thought this Forum had suddenly become something out of the x Files....I started a topic entitled 'For Buffalo Bill' and when I checked back a bit later I had turned into BryanW lol Thank you Mods for explaining, yes I will be gongoozling all day, those of you who live in hope that it will keep me quite and shut me up, dream on Grace
  9. The Barns Cam is up and running, yay May stalking commence lol Grace
  10. Hi Cheesey A very warm welcome aboard this lovely Forum I am sorry your experience after 11 years was marred by the closure of certain places and the draughty Boat. I think there is a draft issue with most of these type of boats, we have hired many over the years and found this to be the case, we mostly hire in school holidays so never experienced any closures or no Pilot, I do hope it didn't spoil your holiday too much. I hope it hasn't put you off of hiring again either, we would like to hire very early or late in the season eventually, although I understand your frustration it wouldn't put us off, as long as we are afloat and the Boat doesn't sink, happy days lol Grace p.s What Boat did you hire?
  11. Hi Aubrey A very warm welcome aboard from me Like Eric says, this really is the best Forum to be a member of, there are some pretty crazy characters on here though, most of them come from up North, you're not Scottish by any chance are you? Grace
  12. Wow, thank you for that guys, I'm loving the Hickling one, Alan can you not work your magic and get the Barns Cam working please? lol Grace
  13. Hi Gareth Glad you had a lovely time, if you have problems with the uploading thinghy, Jaws and Deebee the resident techy geeks are your men. Looking forward to your tale Grace
  14. Forget the cake if I were you Jane, knowing this lot, beer or/and wine would be better Lol Grace
  15. Hi Andy I totally agree with the Skipper, we have also hired Major Gem 2 and cannot fault her in any way. I don't know anything about engines but I do know on this boat we did'nt have problems with engine noise at all. If a centre cockpit floats your Boat (pun intended) for the price you won't find better, excellent value for money in my opinion Grace
  16. Preach all you like Stuart, it's people like you that make us all feel safer, good luck in your fight against these lowlife. Alan, maybe best to tie a ruddy great rock to them, just to be sure Grace
  17. Stunning pictures Admiral .......We often wake early when on the Broads to watch the sunrise, we always watch the sunset and more often than not don't go to bed until very late, you just can't beat the broads at those times. Perhaps that's the reason we are always knackered when we get home lol Grace p.s Jaws, get your bottom out of bed early, you won't regret it
  18. Jane, a word of advice, please don't sing too loudly or you'll start Alex (Alexandlorna off again) lol. Seriously, contrary to popular belief it is beautiful down South, as has been said by David (deebee) Bramerton and Rockland stunning and the River Chet is beautiful, although a bit narrow in parts, don't worry if I can navigate it, anyone can Grace
  19. Blimey, I dunno about the French but it looks like we're being taken over by the Scots judging by the posts above Grace
  20. I do apologise Iain, it was just a light hearted comment and mean't no harm by it. I am also sorry you are still poorly, you poor thing, bless you. I will find one of my wonderful jokes to cheer you up, or not as the case may be lol Grace
  21. "The only boating I did as a kid was on the Paddle Steamer, Waverely" Hope there weren't any Fire Extinguishers on Board Iain Grace
  22. This is such a smashing read Alan, it's a huge lift for those of us who cannot get out on the Rivers for the time being, the way you tell it I feel like I''m there with you, thank you once again for posting Good to see Dave was wearing something on his feet lol Grace p.s How was your little cutie Silvester when you got home?
  23. Smashing photos, especially the third one and the Boat don't look bad either A very warm welcome aboard from me Jas Grace
  24. Get well soon Ian, get that son of yours to buy you an eye patch and a pirates hat then you'll really look the part Hope it's not too painful Grace
  25. Sorry Alan, only just seen this and have to say absolutely stunning A couple of points if I may..... That's the first time I've known zigzagging to be blamed on the wind, at least your mum and me admit we zigzag and don't blame it on anything I really thought it looked quite warm in the video, don't you think Dave was a little over dressed Seriously, thank you for that, loved it Grace
