  1. Ahhh.... T512. What a great example that is, very tidy and well kept, and nice for previous owners to know in such good hands, as they really do take good care of them at HPC (plus, I suppose if there is any pining you can hire it!?) Dan
  2. It wouldn't really instil confidence would it!? In the summer of 1995 there was a few tied up at their yard but I didn't see any out on hire and wasn't sure if they were still running, so I think their last year might have been 1994, or possibly 1995 Dan
  3. Who remembers these badboys... based near Silverline...
  4. Yes, as they (/the boatyard) have changed the goalposts rather than a customer changing their mind after a booking it's slightly different and they would have to reimburse, as appears to have been indicated to be what they have done (and in a straightforward manner, and after a conversation not a faceless/lets do what's easiest email) with those who didn't want to keep with their booking after the change. The low booking deposit/only partial if cancel oldgregg mentions sounds a poor decision on their part. They'd have been better keeping it simple and it is what it says (and take on the chin that a few people ditch it) but then integrity is a bit of a rare thing, especially with the big corporate's Dan

    Brochure Time

Seeing who was building what new boat and which boat had swapped to another fleet was the most fun I have had with my trousers on
  6. Just the two berths... Personally I think the cream leather against the beige laminates and creamish carpet doesn't work and a you have too many similar, plain colours , but I can see why you wouldn't change the upholstery The height of luxury and quite palatial when launched in 1993, today I think they will provide a spacious, comfortable holiday at somewhere around mid standard https://www.herbertwoods.co.uk/book/soaring-light/ Dan
  7. Ah yeah, my bad, it does look like San Elena & (at least) one San Diego run on This is good I think as it keeps some big budget boats in the fleet Dan
  8. Looks like the following are leaving Richardsons at the end of the year Antigua Astral Gem Broadland Mercury Broadland Saturn Clarion Highland Gem Majestic Gem San Bernardo San Diego San Elena Tobago Western Horizon The Jolly Richie At Faircraft Loynes Fair Ambassador looks to be going At Horning Pleasurecraft Fairway looks to be going Anyone know any others Dan
  9. I guess you boys are talking about the top bit.... as the hull is a 1972 Bahama.... http://www.fbwilds.horning.org.uk/page5.html Dan
  10. Well I guess really as the boatbuilding team has also gone to Horning it has meant Stalham does not have the team to finish them easily, but I suppose it will happen sometime, somehow
  11. It looks like they have two - likely to be both of the ones that Mouldy mentioned in an earlier post, as there is the option of both Friday/Monday start or Saturday/Tuesday Dan
  12. ...although they don't look to have managed to upload the layout plan!
  13. Details of Horning Pleasurecraft's Streamway have hit Hoseasons now.... looks like its already picked up some bookings https://www.hoseasons.co.uk/boat-holidays/horning-pleasurecraft-ltd-rhmb/streamway-bh2731 Dan
  14. Hi It wasn't ever in France. She started life with Emerald Star Line in Ireland. Around 2009, during the recession, the parent company Le Boat moved a lot of boats from Ireland & France which were letting very badly compared to the UK market. As their base at the time was under the bridge at Porter & Haylett the base where Horning Pleasurecraft are was leased by them and the Wroxham fleet to run from. This didn't last so long and some were soon sold. Richardson's bought two and they were renamed Trinidad. Their Siesta class has the same background. Enjoy your purchase Dan
  15. I thought it had probably been done to try and unify the look a bit when they are in the yard Don't mind the font but was suprised they had not repainted where old ones were removed, some looked absolutely dreadful for it, others not quite so bad I cant imagine it would take long to tape and repaint panels such as the white bits from this photo, so it did look a bit like standards had slipped or more had been lost than gained, hopefully be improved soon... Dan
  16. I always think somewhere between both stories lies the truth (and you only know one) You only have one side of the story and are absolutely certain what you are told is exactly what happened. The oven comment could have been elaborated or taken out of context, as you were not there at the time, was it even said, was it said with a wry smile connected to a longer sentence... is it really very likely someone would say just use the oven... does it make sense, was there a slight agenda, was there a slight exageration or embellishment to improve a story.....does the truth lie not exactly as it was told... This said I also think non Elite HW boats often look a bit scruffy to my eye and think there ex Connoisseur's are quite pricey for what they are, but I still don't always believe everything is quite as I am told it unless I have heard it with my own ears or seen it with my own eyes Dan
  17. Shame on P&O Ferries To think a Management team got together and came up with that plan. Shame on them To think the guy who delivered that video message was not long ago creating videos or messages more about careers, business family type messages etc... shame on him I hope they see some harsh penalties, although I believe people are fickle and will continue to use them if convenient or cheaper/price/have short memories based on the past If the government don't bother too much or just make a bit of noise or send a letter or two... or more meaningless platitudes by them then more similar behaviour from businesses will follow Of course profitable business is not always the easiest navigation, but some people need stringing up and teaching it doesn't ever mean you should treat people like that Shame on them Dan
  18. At over £2300 in summer for Tranquilla the pricing seems to be past 'on the high side' and a bit extreme! The quality of the description doesn't really support/validate the cost either... both external pictures feature a different boat name on the image (removing it with photoshop if not taking a replacement photo on a nice turnaround day is not hard) and the description makes no sense... it mentions an en-suite for the rear cabin which the image shows as a lounge and it is only a two berth and the sleeping cabin is pictured as the forward cabin with two singles, yet the description mentions two forward doubles! I think it is the worst, most confusing and totally inaccurate description I've seen, perhaps whoever wrote it should be flogged... but just to add the icing to the cake there is no layout plan, which other new additions for some fleets have so must be possible but perhaps at the operators insistence/persistence? https://www.hoseasons.co.uk/boat-holidays/tranquilla-bh2702 https://www.richardsonsboatingholidays.co.uk/boats/tranquilla/ Dan

    Pedro's Acle

So I wonder what the real reasons were
  20. Golden Bridge has re-appeared now and looks like a good value option https://www.hoseasons.co.uk/boat-holidays/golden-bridge-bh1190
  21. I don't think Richardsons have retired anywhere near 130 or 100 boats since October though?
  22. Dan

    Bridgecraft

I think it is Tamar Bridge
  23. Oh yeah, someone must have been working late! Looks a similar price to Brinks Omega, though it's Haines fitted interior is perhaps a bit more upmarket Dan
  24. Another nice quality (ex private) boat looks to have joined the fleet at Horning Pleasurecraft..... Doesn't look like prices/availability have been setup yet.... https://www.hoseasons.co.uk/boat-holidays/fairway-bh2726 Dan
