  1. Does an electric windlass drop the mudweight quick enough then?
  2. Happy birthday Ruthie, we always go to The Wine Vaults (2A Blyburgate, NR34 9TA) 01502 713381 when we stop in Beccles. It's a bit of walk up there but it's all down hill back to the yacht station.
  3. We have been hiring since the early 80's and have never had an problem either, nowadays we do eat out a lot but cook some breakfasts and some evening meals on more remote moorings.
  4. When we hire one of the Captain class on arrival the rear was covered, It took me minutes to take it off and was easily done. I stored it away at the back before hand over, where it remained for the duration.
  5. Hi Farmer Terry welcome to the forum, we are picking up from Silverline on Friday the 4th of September and we will stay south until Monday morning and head north on the 08:23 low water slack tide at Yarmouth. Then stay north until Thursday and come back south on the 10:11 low water slack at Yarmouth, this will give us ample time to get to Bramerton Common or the Comissioners Cut for the last nights stay.
  6. Everything, letters, parcels, flyers, papers etc, anything that is outside of your house has the potential to carry the virus. I unwrap, then dispose of the packaging/envelopes and use my hand gel to disinfect before touching anything else.

  12. Day 12 Friday 21th We awoke and boiled the kettle for the last cup of tea on Brooklyn and Jenny packed away our belongings into the last bags, ready for me to load into the car. We swept the floors and wiped all the surfaces down, so as to leave it all ***** and span. I brought the car to the moorings and loaded it all in the back. The fuel had been filled and over the eleven night adventure, we had used a reasonable ninety one pounds worth of diesel, so we got some money back from the deposit we had paid. Brooklyn was a spacious, light and airy boat, excellent helming positions, especially the upper helm which afforded great views and made mooring a lot easier, for a large boat, I found her very easy to manoeuvre and moor. The decor is a little dated, they told us due to time pressures they were only able to do part of the refurbishment, it is scheduled to be finished this winter. The engine didn’t miss a beat and required zero maintenance, in fact we didn’t have anything go wrong with the boat at all. We believe Bridgecraft to be the best boatyard we have used to date, with excellent customer service from a family run business. The boats are kept in top condition (yes we have hired newer boats, even those have had issues) but the value for money is great. So well done Bridgecraft, on a lovely boat with great weather, we had a fantastic time.
