  1. I’m all for speed cameras where they reduce the risk of accidents. But this morning on the A14 roadworks section there were 3 safety camera vans one at the beginning one in the middle and another one just before the end. Their only purpose for having 3 is a money making exercise and nothing to do with road safety.
  2. Being a nice sunny and warm day we decided to head out in the Z4 roof down but were to go. We (I) decided on Diddly Squat Farm. As it’s about 40 mins away. Nice drive out admiring the lovely Cotswold cottages on arriving it was incredibly busy the car park is very uneven and took some navigating to avoid being ground out. The farm shop had a queue to get in but was very disappointed as most of the shelves were empty. Bought some chilli marmalade the headed into Chipping Norton for lunch and a coffee.
  3. That is what reefing points are for to keep the boat balanced. I sailed Wood Anemone for 5 years in a row while at school and never had any issues with the way it sailed. People seem to be reluctant to reef until out of control.
  4. For sale is a 25m shore supply cable 16amp.( blue plugs). It’s quite old and a bit stiff but perfectly usable or as a spare. Collect only £10.
  5. If you have a bank of 3 would you connect as diagram 1 or diagram 2. Asking for a friend
  6. Hele was with Hastings when her car war written of. See got an email to say the claim had been settled and the money paid to her account no option of whether to accept the offer or not they just stated the claim is closed. The offer was around 2k under its value like for like replacement I wouldn’t mind but it wasn’t even her fault. They are now off our Christmas card list.
  7. They don’t do fuel or pump out until the day boats have gone. Caught us out twice.
  8. Be very careful if you decide to remove the glow plugs as they carbon up and snap off when you try to unscrew them a careful back and forth a bit at a time normally does the trick. The 1.5 injection pump does have a habit of leaking past the seals so might be something to keep an eye on if you continue to have to bleed it.
  9. No sure there are many local yobs in Ranworth
  10. That would depend on what state of the current paint surface. I would at the very least scotch pad the area to key it up.
  11. I would hate to think what it would be with the screens up. This I’m guessing is a fixed roof boat.
  12. You could paint on Interdeck after degreasing the area and masking up but I would go for a darker colour as white is a real pain to keep clean. Ask me how I know.
  13. I wouldn’t have said it was fine dining before more of a steak house.
  14. It even came with the optional manicure set.
  15. It’s a 2011 s23i with the folding tin top It’s a 2011 s23i with the folding tin top. It was part of a private collection and I am the 3rd owner. Being 6ft tall I would like an extra couple of inches in the seat travel but as I don’t get to drive it very often it’s not an issue
  16. You can buy mine only 24000 miles. Trouble is I will have to prize the keys out of H’s hands first.
  17. I have been running a dehumidifier and a small oil storage heater over the winter And my bill from December to March was £300 ish so I got off lightly.
  18. We went through just before 9 and there was still a far bit of tide running out 9-6 on the bridge gauge. Currently sat in glorious sunshine at Loddon.
  19. Think yourself lucky last week the A14 was completely closed due to flooding, the queue was almost up to the traffic camera.
  20. Most boats can have a holding tank and pump out feature. It might have had a thunder box type toilet fitted before I wouldn't be put off buying a boat without a pompous toilet, they are not that expensive to fit one.

Just been looking at the Potter Bridge heights over the last 7 days . Max height was 5'6" and minimum was 4'9". Something needs to be done as even day boats will pass at these heights let alone Martha's motor boats.
  22. As they start at the beginning of April I might don my hi viz vest and do Easter weekend to help pay for the increased toll fee.
  23. I’m booked in for a Vulcan flight later this year. Can’t wait as I have a soft spot for these magnificent birds.
  24. See JA Be careful what you wish for 😂
