    Dredging

Good morning, thank you for some insights, thing is, we are around 20 moored stern on facing the middle of the Chet thus not in a marina So, my thinking was that BA is ' responsible' of the water, riverbed and such but, as it often happens; thought was wrong. TheQ; I might invest in waders for wifey; cheaper than a dredger :)

    Dredging

Thank you Smoggy, "Our work We are responsible for the integrated management of land and water in the Broadland area. This includes conserving local wildlife, improving habitats, maintaining visitor facilities and our award-winning work in dredging." from BA's website. I'm saving to buy a dredger

    Dredging

Hi all, there's been dredged long the Chet last winter and in Loddon staithe. My question is ; how come there wasn't any dredging done where boats are moored in boat yards, knowing all & everyone was ready to pull away moored vessels for it to happen?
  5. Thanks ChrisB for posting information, way beyond my skills .

  8. Good evening, uncertain if Herbert Freeman is a famous yard but certainly responsible for many woodies. This one, originally Happy Time (believe 2) was sold along with the rest of the fleet to Herbert Woods sometime at the end of the 1960's and became Dazzling Light. The photograph on Boats of the Norfolk Broads was taken at Martham where she was moored and purchased by us in 2013. As with all woodies, much restoration has taken place. (At least I hope there is an attachment, a little tech uncertain). She was built earlier than 1968, thought to be early 1960.
  9. If we recall correctly, she was sold 10 years ago. John (Maffett's) clearly has a soft spot for her and waxed lyrical about her attributes, nice guy. Regards
  10. If anyone is interested in her, we have information to help with the decision making process, please PM us, she really is a, or rather has the potential to be, a stunner. Regards
