PS. It was a wonderful pub and I used to enjoy rowing across the river for a pint or three. No River Police to worry about!

Just joined the Forum and spotted this thread. I lived opposite the hotel on the other side of the main River Bure. Here are my photos, before, during and after the fire. . Scary stuff for someone to be near a thatched roof with a blowtorch!
