  1. Brilliant! So far Tim has only clouted the boat once by swinging the quarter of the boat into the quay heading. Oh, and he's not very good at tying up either!
  2. Why go North? Problem will be if you want to book up Christmas Day lunch in a decent Broads pub. If they really are decent then most, if not all will have been booked up by now by the locals who know which ones really are decent! Fingers crossed for you.
  3. It could have been on the Broads. Six of us went to a fairly local 'Broads' restaurant the other day and one of us suffered the same cold portion syndrome. It was sorted though, but not before the other five of us had finished our meals which meant that one of us eat separately, hardly the sociable meal that we had anticipated.
  4. Equally silly boy, I pressed the 'record the entire series' button several days ago for the forthcoming series!! Gosh, have I got that right after all?

  6. Probably why so many ducks congregate around Po'er Bridge. They have wicked senses of humour!!
  7. A day boat owned by the wicked man taking the video helped them out!
  8. Now't wrong with old videos, the bouncing lady in this one provides classic amusement, cracks me up every time! Would you see a bouncing man in the same situation? Errrrr, yes!
  9. If that video dissuades just one crew from taking an unnecessary risk in going under a difficult bridge then so be it. However, it is a sad fact of life that many of us, me included, often view the mistakes of others as valid entertainment but in this case there is a serious message, that there is a mandatory pilot there for good reason.
  10. Don't worry, so was my response!!!
  11. Errrr, me! I just need a phone that's just a phone rather than a way of life.
  12. How right you are! Don't think it's quite a mountain out of a molehill but it has been subject to intense dissection & speculation. This could prove to be a useful 'emotion' or whatever such things are called.
  13. Hence my suggestion of mooring on Lake Lothing, salt side at Oulton Broad/Lowestoft.
  14. Good luck, Robin. If she is 55 feet then I would head towards the marina at Lowestoft, the one off Victoria Road. Good community marina too.
  15. Stuart discretely places truncheon in nearby fire bucket . . . . . . . . . . . .
  16. Thanks, M. My comment was based on that of a concerned Beccles resident.
  17. Approx £5,000.00 per year, hardly worth the usual 'consultancy leeches' getting out of bed for. I would like to think that this scheme is being run for all the right reasons.
  18. Apart from mentioning the BNP! http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/environment/lottery-grant-puts-wind-in-the-sails-of-broads-mills-1-5252145
  19. Are you suggesting that Gracie is a man eater then? You might be right, so long as they have prominent truncheons, dress in blue and have stiletto resistant string vests!
  20. Apparently it all part of a major housing scheme so maybe not such a good idea. Beccles is Beccles, lovely just as it is.
