  1. Don't worry if its not done next weekend, Marina will be on the case.
  2. just think 7 or 8 boats all coming through at the same time those the other side waiting for a gap,may well feel uncertain attempting to go through at the same time.
  3. We went to the film set where lots of spaghetti westerns were filmed in southern Spain.Gun fights, bank robberys .Good fun.
  4. Very sad to hear that , pets are more then pets. They often become part of the family.
  5. May do still not sure when but sometime in August.
  6. We got home just gone three o'clock. Very nice break. Aim.to go back in a few weeks time .Before we left we topped up with fuel at Brooms £1.28 a litre. Slight mis hap coming home,Slight crack on the car windscreen. Will get fixed next weekend. Pics from last night at Langley.
  7. NYA should have said.Dont think there be out today.they have a group trip a few times a year.
  8. Just to let you know they were with RYA on tour, think they wanted to get to the pub.Done all the G&T on board.
  9. Potter then get a day boat.Lovely up there.Neathershead,How's hill.Or day boat from Wroxham to Coltishall.
  10. I was there read my post. The Brundall navy once the bridge opened, all went through together, at times close together. The hire boats I think, just wanted them to clear and yes they went in the middle Private boats. Dont forget Reedham not the easiest of places for some inexperienced boaters. It was a matter of bad luck 6 or 7 large boats and the other side about the same amount of mainly hire boats.
  11. The fact was we got under the bridge being smaller. About seven very large gin Palaces all went through when the bridge opened. Going the other way heading up towards the cut, about six of seven mainly hire boats had to wait for Brundall navy to clear the bridge. Must admit was busy for about 10 minutes. Still.it made the EDP happy
  12. Managed to moor Langley downstream.Lucky we were last ones in.About six boats here.Chicken new potatoes and vegetables for Dinner.
  13. We made our way from Berney heading to Reedham .The Brundall navy passed us about six large boats.Thing is the bridge was shut ,so we overtook them .I said that when its good to have a small boat.they saw the funny side.Fish and chips for lunch. Ian ,Marina Sweetkingfisher Part of the Brundall navy cadets .
  14. It is ,hopefully in the next few weeks I will get one of the Daves to clean the boat. Will have a beer and a little scotch tonight. Enjoy your pie.
  15. We arrived at Cove just gone 10.30,spoke with Paul and Jill. Unpacked the car ,made our way midday.Weather mixed cloudy but warm with the odd spot of rain. We arrived at Berney about 14.40.Poor boat in need of a good clean. We had hoped to get it done before we got here but the Daves at Cove were unavailable just now.So Marina did the inside and I did outside.Looks better but more to be done . Still last time I cleaned the boat was October. Tonight Cottage pie and Vegetables. Only four boats here .
  16. As I said Andy wish you and your family well, hope to see you somewhere on the river. On a personal note its worrying now few hire yards on the southern broads and Brooms no longer building boats. We are based at Cove Brundall, even though we are private owners. The loss of many yards in the last few years is sad. Good luck Andy best wishes Ian.
  17. I do feel for you Andy this virus has robbed us all.I wish you well.
  18. Good point , lots of cleaning lots of G&Ts and the odd trip out now and again. There's a couple at Cove nice boat.Think the furthest they've been in five years is Surlingham broad.
  19. May be wrong but don't think many of them are furloughed.
  20. Thanks we will play it by ear. Dont think the Brundall Navy go out often mid week .
  21. A few mile stones for me today.Went out in the car today with Marina. For the first time in over 16 weeks went to Morrisons .Did feel strange, but not to busy.So I felt okay. We are going up to the boat tomorrow for three days.We will go to B/Arms so don't think it will be busy there.Thursday head back. Not sure yet where we will Moor. Then back to Cove. Really looking forward to it.
  22. On Facebook they are trying out there menu. Think it's the same land line number.
  23. Believe me I'm fully aware of the virus. Having COPD and pneumonia and also told I may have had covad.
  24. Since lockdown, I've had about four or five phone consultations.Regarding my COPD and pneumonia. Which have been done on the day.To get a letter think this is the way it could be done.My feeling is that phone consultations will carry on once this passes.
