  1. Good job I did not, he would have got kicked for nothing he had done. Seriously I climbed the wall. But I also took some very strong beer that I drank when it was bad. I knew then that I could not drive out to buy fags.
  2. I am 69, you think I was not addicted, 40 Senior Service untipped. Firm believer in go Cold Turkey. I went fly fishing in Sutherland 30 miles from anywhere for a week with patches for three days.
  3. We must meet up when you are next over, and lets have the lot and decide then!
  4. Driving a car does not condone smoke and vape, all the more reason not to do it.
  5. I mean tax them on top of what it is already. Not heard anyone complain of the online prices that have decimated our high streets. When my wife was dying of cancer I would go to the NNUH and there would be people outside, in their pyjamas, wheeling a drip stand and smoking and vaping. Sorry not on!
  6. A Dover Sole the size of a dinner plate is more my style. With just some really fresh salad and a glass of Pouilly Fuisse. Perhaps a little coleslaw and sauerkraut on the side.
  7. As a member here says "What a load of old Squit" Try treating your lungs to what they are intended for Fresh Air. An old school friend, a Consultant at a London Teaching Hospital has told me Popcorn lung has seen a dramatic increase. Firstly I don't want to inhale your butterscotch second hand breath, I would not give business to an establishment that allows your habit to effect others. Furthermore if you "Vapours" are a ticking time bomb, I don't want to pay for you. The NHS needs money, Now! £5 on 20 cigs, the same for what equals Vapes and £10 on a bottle of spirits would go a long way. I worked in Scandinavia for a long time. It works and is fairer to those who live a healthier life style.
  8. I had an outboard powered cruiser and in making max effort to protect my engine from being rammed always used the last post.
  9. Maybe it is fire rated and a requirement.
  10. Our HQ was in Mannedorf and the hotel that I stayed at in Rapperswil used to brew it's own white beer. It gave you the most fearsome headache ever. I think itt was the Hotel Speer but it is a few years back now.
  11. Fortnums used to do a whole grouse in a can. There is a legend that the late Duke of Westminster when stationed overseas got his Batman to throw one in the air on the 12th August so that he could shoot it before eating it.
  12. Water levels were very low at Womack on Sunday.
  13. The cereal crops are up at this time of year and demand for fertiliser practically zero hence this is when ammonia plants and downstream production facilities are maintained.
  14. It is a bit more complicated than your popular tabloid's explanation. In recent years there has been a massive shift from ammonium nitrate to urea in agriculture. This has had the effect of reducing the amount of CO2 that is available for resale as less and less is classed as by-product as it is retained within the industry.
  15. Paul Raymond had FU2 but gave it to Fiona Richmond for her E Type When I lived in Chorleywood (Loudwater) in the 60s Jimmy Tarbuck had a 280SL with COM1C. That was when he was on his climb, he didn't stay there too long. I think Paul Daniels had MAG1C
  16. Edward Seago, is in the top of my top ten Artists. A man not with out controversy, destroying half his work before death and the experts still can not agree as to his style impressionist or post-impressionist. He was very firmly a favourite of the Royal Family and the Queen sits behind his most beautiful of silver sculptures when she rides in her official cars "St George slaying the dragon" by Seago is removable and can be transfered from car to car replacing the manufacturers mascots. It is only used when her Majesty is travelling within the vehicle.
  17. The pipe is called a "Hawse Pipe" what you want on that bow is a "Bow Roller" it will make the job much easier. Best if fitted above the rollee with a drop nose pin to act as a keep.
  18. I also went aboard Jacinda, Marthams new build river cruiser. I was so taken that I forgot to take photos. It is one beautiful Broads yacht.
  19. Lovely event in a beautiful setting. A lot of hard work must have gone into it's planning and execution. I think the fact that England had a game in the middle of the day has probably not helped the attendance figures. Still I enjoyed it very much and got to helm a Rebel at Hunters. Never sailed a Rebel before, what a beautiful handling boat. So glad that I went.
  20. Beautiful day for it, I hope it is a roaring success. It would be fantastic to see a lot more sails over the marshes in years to come.
  21. Don't do Facebook....... and I never will......
  22. Anybody on the Southern Rivers who can get a Photo? Latest said she is now moving down river seawards of Brundall.
