Hi Helen
We ventured to West Somerton on Monday on an electric day boat and it was pretty clear we meet a couple of Hunters yachts coming down
It is a lovely little stretch of river

I have been hireing boats on the broads most years since 1964 recently a week on the southern broads and yesterday a day boat for the day on the upper thurne.
Behaviour in general in my opinion is better than fifty years ago speeding is less as are the idiot boaters yes you still get them and always will.
The Broads are still a magical place and are enjoyed by so many

We moored at Reedham lunchtime and noticed the Lord Nelson was closed
No board giving opening times could be seen
Does it close on a Monday or has it closed down

Interesting Video and pictures on Bridgecraft's website
showing the removal of the bow section of one of there craft
not sure which boat
if the more technically minded can add a link please do so

Having a drive around today we noticed The Ferry Inn Hornng was closed
Gate pulled shut with a notice "Closed no access at any time*
Is it closed just for the holiday or more permanently
Ray
Glad you support Bridge Boats Neil
We hire the Sundancer's they suit as well
Very good 48 hour moorings at Clayhithe with the Bridge pub adjacent
As you say quiet and peaceful
We like going up the lodes as to Burwell and Reach
It is another world
