Our doctors does mass jab sessions (flu and now Covid) in a local hall! Call up came whilst we were on holiday but my husband was able to go last Saturday for the flu jab. When there they said they had some spare Covid jabs so he had both! I couldn't make it but they told my husband that I should ring up at the end of this week! This I did this morning - 14:10 next Wednesday ok for both jabs? Yes fine I said. That's booked then you will get a text confirmation. But you haven't asked my name I said! Oh that's ok, your phone flagged it up!!! Text duly followed

What about a roof box rather than trailer?

Did the chip give any info? I thought I read he was chipped? The papers/media are discussing the number of abandoned pets the charities are receiving

A few weeks ago one of our elderly neighbours went out for a walk through our local fields and whilst walking back through the wood was jumped on by a very enthusiastic young but large off lead dog! Our neighbour is very slightly built and our skin is wafer thin - the result she arrived on our doorstep in shock with the skin on her arm ripped and covered in blood. We tried ringing 111 but gave up after 15 minutes and realising after cleaning up the wounds that despite looking dreadful it was superficial and the bleeding had stopped! So we wrapped her arm in a sterile dressing, gave her a cup of tea and took her home. Checking on her next day and alerting her actual neighbour to also keep an eye on her.
She was in such shock initially that it wasn't that clear how the owners of the dog reacted but they were apparently very apologetic - one would have liked to think they would have walked her home but knowing our neighbour who is fiercely independent - I think she just basically wanted to get away from the dog as quickly as possible.
Never assume however friendly your dog is - that it could still do some actual harm.

WR wouldn't be WR without a few drips and leaks. The worst was before she had a new stem - gribble worms holes! The auto pump was on almost continuously ☹️

26-8 ft I think the delights were.
Of the 12 not one was 24 feet as stated in the Blake's catalogue. Most were 27feet plus a bit but at least one was only 26 feet plus and one over 28feet. I have all the info at home having looked at the log books at the Norfolk archive above 10 years? I was told the 24 feet listing was to do with being a toll range??

Umm? I didn't think there was a problem although we've always gone up on the tide. No problem with bridges at high tide unless it's raining! Angle coming back at Bishops bridge is a bit tricky if there are fishermen on the bank

Lovely - when you next borrow WR you must take her up to New Mills in Norwich! And of course get her under Potter!

Blimey, it's all right for some Hope you're having a lovely time, are you floating or land based?
Land based! Started on the mainland 'doing' ancient ruins including the Acropolis then moved onto the islands. Will be three islands in total! So pleased that you have returned to the forum with your news....♥️

Certainly used the gun carriage at Winstons - I stood on Ludgate Hill. After the service taken to Waterloo by the MV Havengore.
Lasting memory is the noise made by the steel studs in their boots as they came up the hill - only sound to be heard.
I was at Waterloo Station watching as the train left to take the coffin to Bladon (or the nearest station) - my father was on the train. It was very moving!

I actually think the swing bridge is Haddiscoe! The hill side is in the background being my reason not immediate. Agree other Oulton Broad north

50 yds away from the Ferry is Flavours. Been there a couple of times and the food and service is brilliant.
On a day when the Ferry was heaving, we were the only people in Flavours.
Owner/ chef/ whatever told me we were the only people in that day. Such a shame as its a lovely place but with only a handful of customers a day, I can't see it lasting long. Shame.
A lot of locals are talking very favorably of Flavours. We went in Horning week and we will go again. A big party attending Horning SC white boat weekend went tonight. The chef was chef at the Blue Boar in Sprowston and my mother in law ( a frequent visitor to the Blue Boar) wanted feedback so do visit! He needs to keep in business during the winter

The fact that there is a planning application for a micro brewery on site implies the current custodians want to stay!
