I know the stuff does that work OK as I thought it might be a bit flimsy and wear away in the wind? I've got some of that knocking around...now where is it!

I've just tried to make my own plate holders from perspex to tie on to the bow rails and made a complete 'town halls' of them! So can anybody tell me the if you can buy licence plates to stick the registration stickers on or the best material to use.
Also I'm looking to renew the boat name in 316 stainless or chrome lettering has anybody got any ideas/contacts as I've just had a 4 figure quote (without a decimal) and the boat name isn't a welsh town
Thanks
Simon

We went to the end last year (October ish) and was going to stop in the Ribs but there was already a boat there and couldn't be mithered so went to the mill and turned around...was a pleasant trip going into a city. The Red lion (or next to it) do a Pub n Paddle kayak rental and there were plenty out when we were there, not sure the 2 go together though

Unashamedly I was glad Real won ? (being a city fan!).
Thought that Salah going off was pivotal and after that Real were worthy winners, especially the Bale goal. Really feel for Karius, that will potentially ruin his career I hope he gets good personsl support.

Hi All
I'm seeking some advice if possible on Radar Arches as I'm looking maybe to buy a boat with one (no particualr model just yet but something like a bayliner 285)
1st question would you see it a problem having an air draft of just over 9ft to the radar arch?
2nd question if the radar arch is fixed is it expensive to have them hinged?
Cheers

There's been quite a lot of chatter on this thread about angling and the interference thereof for this event. As an avid angler I support this event (not for safety as I don't care) as when it is held there are umpteen miles of undisturbed angling abound on the broads that very day...so fill your boots anglers unless that is you fancy catching something bigger!

Yes Ditto that RIP.
He came across so nice in the media and I had the pleasure of meeting him once (well bumping in to him). He got in a lift I was in in Dubai many years ago and I had my fishing rod with me. He was genuinely curious as to what I would be catching and where. I told him and the next day he turned up for a mooch... A really nice man condolences to his family and friends.

I get the discussion about safety and shared watercourse usage and very valid it is, but the responsibility issue surely is mitigated by the fact each swimmer is signing a waiver so ultimately it is each of their own responsibility and risk

A lot there
Just a big boat around the med / adriatic for me.

This winter seems to have gone on forever! just checked my weather data from this time last year (saddo yes I am!) and yesterday would have been 17 today 16 and tomorrow 20.5 although it did cool down for Easter!

Interesting that Mike is thinking of selling up... I wonder whether Paul will take it on completely?

I dont live too far from that breach and we had another one a couple of years ago even closer where we dog walk at Dutton. The T&M Canal all along this stretch has some really dodgy sides I wouldnt be surprised fi there a few more in the coming years hopefully nobody will be caught up in them!
