  1. Last chance for anyone who still hasn't voted but would like to. And, of course, a big thank you to those that took the time to get involved. Cheers
  2. 31 orders so far. Keep them coming everyone, you only get one chance so don't miss out.
  3. Yes, when it's time, PayPal will be set up ready. In fact, last year, only two calendars were not paid for through PayPal! !
  4. 26 orders on here so far plus another two for Spider makes 28. We will be after your money soon. ..
  5. With thanks to Alan for tidying up the thread it is now time to cast your votes for next year's calendar. You can vote for as many or few as you like... We will close the thread at midnight next Sunday. We are still taking orders of course !
  6. Well done everyone, a superb selection. I think you have captured every aspect of the true essence of the broads this year. I shall now ask a mod to tidy up the thread and we can then choose our favourites for inclusion. I will pop a 'go for it' announcement on the forum when we are ready. Cheers all
  7. Careful chaps... I started with a shed, then a garage, then two garages, then a small workshop etc etc up to the point where I now have 4500 sq ft of barn plus about the same again as outside storage. And I still can't get to the bench (which is full by the way) Last week I had to go and hire another lock up garage.... It's a slippery slope I tell you
  8. Bit late in this case but I would recommend reading the bss guide throughly. Just like a cars mot there is some 'interpretation ' of the regulations. Some time ago I was amazed to find a boat with its gas bottle in the sideboard within the living accommodation. The boats owner told us that not only was it compliant, the examiner had commended him on the installation. Barry (Springsong ) was there with me and we passed comment afterwards that we would not fancy a gas bottle in the cabin with us no matter how good the installation was!
  9. BrianW's order makes 23 so far. Keep those orders coming in folks, you have seen the pictures as submitted, how can you resist!
  10. My hero... If you could nip over to the piccy thread and remove the multiple picture posts etc so we end up with a nice run of one picture per post. I think everyone has re submitted their entries individually now.
  11. Yes please! Piccys individually if you would be so kind. I will get the thread "tidied up" if I can sweet talk a mod.
  12. The calendar picture thread is live!!! http://forum.norfolkbroadsnetwork.com/topic/13992-its-piccy-time-2018-calendar-here-we-come/
  13. Ok folks, its a little different this year with the calendar competition. I am trying to keep it all nice and easy without relying on the tecky team needing to get involved (they have enough on their plate at the minute) and so I am opening this thread for you to submit your entries. We are going to allow a week for all the entries to come in and then I will open up the voting. Voting this year will be on this thread so please dont get carried away and start hitting the like button before next Monday or the mods will have to cancel them off and it will be smacked fenders all round. You can enter up to three images each. There have been some superb pictures around the forum this season and I hope you will consider putting some of them up for consideration. Dont forget that by entering the competition you will automatically give NBN permission to use your image should it be chosen by the members. So there we have it. I am bound to have forgotten something in which case please use the other thread (linked below) for questions, orders, comments etc and leave this one purely for the uploading of images. That way, when we come to the voting the pictures will all be together. You are also welcome to use the other thread to test images etc. http://forum.norfolkbroadsnetwork.com/topic/13890-the-nbn-2018-calendar-competition/?tab=comments#comment-217406 And finally, thank you for your superb support both in your entries and in purchasing the finished item and helping to keep this forum properly financed.
  14. Now now peeps. Before we know it we will be back to moderators un-moderated
  15. The entry thread will be up next week with details. Just dealing with hospitals at the minute.. .
  16. I have one after a conversation on here last year.
  17. Maybe they should put cones across like they do to close a road? Is a height marker an hour away a good enough guide? This is the 21st century, two or three digital signs as you cross would surely be more accurate. I have said this before and will continue to say it. If the B. A. take on the responsibility of closing Breydon when it's deemed unsafe we will end up with boaters assuming that it is automatically safe to cross, irrespective of conditions, if there is no ranger to advise otherwise. ... like after 5.30 home time!
  18. Keep them coming peeps. We can have a hundred if we like....
  19. Our winters also used to be much harsher. Frozen waters will nip the hull as the ice expands and could do damage. These days such things rarely happen.... when did you last see a car driving on a frozen Oulton Broad?
  20. Now that's something I would like to attend
  21. Of course you are all welcome to place your orders below so we can get an idea of demand... Last year's were just under a tenner (around £12.00 including postage iirc) I'll include a signed picture of my new cabin roofs if it helps?
  22. I would have thought any lone hanging fenders would need to be in blue? Not bought anything from the clothing range but will want a burgee soon and would certainly want floating keyrings and that 'pump bag's' a good idea. Are the beer mat / coasters available to buy?
