  1. I don't know if I'm too late but have a look at the new Sony A55. Masses of built in goodies including in camera anti shake, 1060p HD video, fast shooting ( up to 10 exposures a sec ) etc, etc. Brian J.
  2. Hi Neil, cannot say for sure what dates we will be at WRC for, but if a free drink is involved then I'm sure we will try to be there.
  3. Hello Dave, Apparently we are to be in the dyke - number 10 berth - but I have asked that if a berth further from the pub becomes available, could we have that one. I now have to work out how to get myself and crew back to Brundall to collect the car. It seems that public transport is a no no, and that it will probably have to be a taxi. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that 4 hours should be enough time to cruise from Brundall to WRC, that is if I can work the tides right. The other thing that worries me is finding out where I can empty the chemical toilet, apart from WRC. All good fun though!! Brian J.
  4. Hello to all forum members, Well it's now official, Avon Dawn has a mooring at The Waveney River centre as from 1st April. She is currently with Tony Tugboats and hopefully will be coming to Brundall Bay marina when all work has been completed, and then moving to WRC. I hope to meet some of you this coming season especially those at WRC. Brian J.
  5. Thanks Jill, from all the reports that i've heard Tony Tugboats is very reliable. He is to do some pre-arranged work on Avon Dawn and due to the weather I assume that he has not started yet. Brian J.
  6. Hi Captmatt, Avon Dawn is still with Tony Tugboats ( hopefully ), and he has still to do the work on her. I told him that there was no rush and that as long as she was delivered by the end of March, that would be OK. Will keep you informed. Brian J. P.S. Still not certain where she will be moored.
  7. Hello John and Mary Jane, As a short term measure she will initially be at Brundall Bay Marine as it is a Tingdene marina and I have paid my mooring fee up to the end of March at Thames and Kennet marina and am able to do a swop for no extra charge. After that she will possibly be at either Willow marina at Brundall or The Waveney River Centre, depending on availability. BrianJ.
  8. By courtesey of Tonytugboats who has her in his yard at the moment re-antifouling and polishing. Brian J.
  9. Hi All, Will be arriving soon, complete with Freeman 23. Brian J.
