  1. I had a great time! - We spent our first night at How Hill before heading down to GY on the Tuesday, we then came back the way from GY and had Tuesday night in Wroxham, after Wroxham we headed to Potter Heigham where we spent Wednesday night and then we returned to Stalham for our last night on Thursday! We visited, stracey arms, Acle, horning, Ludham, Wayford and all of the others mentioned! I am hoping to do a bigger review when I get time but I had a blast! Shame the missus didn't enjoy it as much as me and mother in law! I think next time, we will get a broadsman from richardsons and spend the extra for luxury and go with some friends. My other half likes her creature comforts and didn't like not being able to straighten her hair on the boat. Also wouldn't take a German shepherd again.
  2. We decided to head the opposite way in the end! We are now at potter higham
  3. A little update for everyone! We were too late to pass under Wroxham bridge last night to moored at Barnes, we will be calling the pilot in an hour or so and then will be making our way to Coltishall unless anyone recommends something else?
  4. We've passed Acle and are now on course to Wroxham! Hoping to get to Roys
  5. We are now heading back towards Acle, looking for tips as to where to go next! We have to be back at Stalham for 09:00 on Friday
  6. Typing from the wheel (if this is allowed) we are currently sailing past Runham swim mill on route to GY. We stayed at How Hill last night and set off at around 8am! We stopped at Stokesby for supplies! Anyone want to guess ourETA?
  7. Thanks all for your advise! Gt Yarmouth is a definite for my mother in law. She really wants to go and we've promised so will have to work around her. Also, is there anywhere that has "amenities" like a proper shower and toilet along the way? Do some of the boat yards have showers you can use? I'm 6"3 and can't imagine showering is going to be easy on the boat!
  8. Hi All! My mother in law, better half and I have booked one of the magic gems next week Monday to Friday from Stalham and plan to go up to Yarmouth and back. We are in no rush but plan to see as much as we can with no more than 4 hours driving each day. Could anyone help with some ideas about where to moor up each night? This will be our first boating holiday and I plan to take the fishing rod! - We also have the dog with us so that should be interesting. Also, any advice on what to bring/what not to bring? We are hiring from Richardsons and are totally clueless about how to make the most of this holiday! Thanks all! Robert.
