  1. Enjoy your day Mr and Mrs Nog, wherever it takes you. 🤗🎄
  2. Wow! A trip on the train it is then. Hope Cromer doesn't disappoint this time round.
  3. I will be out and unable to join this week. In fact I'm likely to be missing for a while until January as I have a number of things going on over the rest of the month. So if I don't get back into the quiz this side of Christmas I would like to wish all the Friday Friends a lovely festive time.
  4. That is indeed the question. Another dark wet chilly morning here. Hope you have a lovely day wherever it takes you.
  5. Morning Mr and Mrs Nog Hope you have a lovely day wherever it takes you.
  6. Well done Steve. A good win there and looking forward to your quiz next week. Thanks again Bern for another good quiz, lots of Friday Fun.
  7. Great to see you back Mr and Mrs Nog. Beware Wroxham is still a bit flooded in places, including by NBD's yard and car park if you venture in there. But I'm sure that you'll have a great time anyway.

    First Snow

Thank you Monica for starting this topic. I do like a little window on the weather in different places. Just frosty this morning for me. Happy to have an indoors kind of day. 🥶😀
  9. Problems at Pakefield too, just south of Lowestoft. Caravan site evacuated. Road and cliff edge lost unexpectedly. And caravans left right on the edge. There must be parts of that site that won’t be able to be used again and need clearing. And it exposed an unexploded bomb. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-67530159.amp
  10. Wonderful write up and photos. We often wish we had more than an hourly train into Norwich from Hoveton and Wroxham. I don't know if it was ever more frequent in the days before the pandemic given how services have adjusted since then. You certainly made good use of Ranworth. It's so relaxing when it's quiet there.
  11. Great start to your write up and love seeing your pictures.

    My Day

Looks like it was a lovely day out Ian. So glad you had a nice time. It’s an enjoyable drive across Norfolk to Sandringham from here.
  14. It’s been great to read your posts and see what you’ve been up to. Hope Tony’s hand is ok. 🤗
  15. That sounds very sensible Helen. What a great place to be holed up. We spent the Monday and Thursday nights there when we were out on Rose Emblem this time last year.
  16. Thanks for flagging these videos Sam. We often watch this channel. It was a delight to see narrowboaters trying out a cruiser.
  17. Love hearing about your day Kate and seeing your photos.
  18. Great to see your photos Kate. And to see you're still making the best of all this water everywhere. I wandered into Hoveton this morning. Still places that are flooded around the back of the precinct and over Granary Staithe. The water is receding slowly down at NBD and along the main road but still really wet. And still a bit flooded if one tried to walk via the park from the village to the Viaduct moorings.
  19. Well done to Arthur. And thank you to Bern for a really fun evening. 🤗
  20. It’s a beautiful morning. I hope you’re able to get a good cruise in today. 🤭
  21. Depending on the boat and how many of you are on board you may not need a pumpout if you’re here for a week. Especially if you use the facilities on shore while you’re moored up. As for eating recommendations I would try whatever there is wherever you end up. Some establishments will change hands over time, change staff, change menus. So the best recommendations are probably to be had nearer the time.
  22. Holly the Cafe Boat did three videos in the area. This was the first followed by another two, one of which I think does explore the cathedral.
  23. Thanks for the write up and information. We have family in the area but have never stopped in the centre of the city.
  24. Ian I know you’ll stay strong and your family will be right with you. And your friends here will be sending their best wishes and positivity. Thinking of you and so many others fighting cancer and COPD right now.
