  1. Having read the reports has anyone heard if there has been any sort of search for an underwater object in the area? There must be some boats somewhere not too far away which have a sonar/fish finder device which may be able to "look" for anything which could be a danger to others. Jeff
  2. With all the repeats of "old programmes" why oh why can we not be treated to this one. I for one would not miss a single episode. Jeff
  3. If you think of a figure, double it and put a £ sign in front of it all you have to do then is advertise it in London and sit back and wait for the "O K Yah" crowd to see the advert. !!!!!!! Jeff
  4. At those food prices has anyone explained to Brooms that we are holidaying on a boat on the Broads or do they have boats called Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary that come supplied with a full crew of about 1800 people? Jeff
  5. Hi Viv and welcome. Don't worry about the little error. We have all done similar things and probably will do it again. Jeff
  6. For me there is only one cruise worth going on............the next one anywhere on the Broads!!!!!! Jeff
  7. I don't think it had anything to do with a disposable BBQ Jeff
  8. Hope they find the right treatment first time. Tell them how busy you are and that you haven't got enough spare time to mess about. Seriously Ian, hope all goes well Jeff
  9. There should be a law against profiteering from a small business that is so good at what they do and become so popular and successful !!!!! It's a matter of "They are doing very well so I want a share of their success" Jeff
  10. When I read reports like this it makes me think of one very simple word..........RESPECT People who do stupid things like this obviously have NO respect for anything or anyone. They don't respect other people's property They don't respect each other They don't respect the environment and the damage they could be causing They don't respect the other people who may have the task of sorting out the result of their actions They do not deserve the opportunity to enjoy a place of peace and beauty that they have spent a lot of money to visit I could go on but will leave it at that for now Jeff
  11. I remember as a kid we used to ask for fish and chips and you automatically got cod (haddock had to be specially requested and you had to wait for it to be cooked. Nowadays it is the other way round. I just wish we could get charged what we did in those distant days.......3d for chips 6d for cod and a shilling for haddock. Happy days Jeff
  12. Hi Wonderwall, If I were you and could prove where the rubbish is coming from I would take it back to the school and suggest that they find out who it belonged to and return it to them with an instruction to dispose of it correctly Jeff
  13. Hi Chris, You mentioned that you enjoy fishing. Don't forget there is a closed season which is in force at the moment until the new season starts on 15th June Jeff
  14. When I see a mess left in an area with bins provided I feel like picking it all up and dumping it in the garden of the house where the plebs that don't care what it looks like live Jeff
  15. Just had a look at the webcam and it looks like someone did not do a proper job of checking all unused boats are secure Just outside he toilets area there looks to be a boat with the canopy wide open and no sign of life on board Jeff.
  16. To me both Brooms Explorer and Clean Sweep look like a revamped C40 or C45 with an upper deck fitted. Jeff
  17. Hi John and welcome to the forum. If I were you I would not worry too much about tides even though they do seem to run stronger down south. All you have to do is RELAX AND ENJOY IT !!!!!!!!! The days will whizz past too quickly anyway. Jeff
  18. Sad to see the first photo. I remember hiring one of these from Wing Line Cruisers in Brundall quite a lot of years ago (late 70's I think) Nice boat, 4 berth, 2 loos/showers and warm and comfy on board. Jeff
  19. Thinking about it , how would they take a delivery of fuel in order to sell it on, and how do they fuel up their own boats anyway? Jeff
  20. Can anyone enlighten me as to why Richardsons are no longer listed as a sponsor of the forum? Have we done something to upset them or is it simply a money saving exercise? We now have to "go the long way round" if we want to view a boat being discussed on the forum
  21. Does anyone else remember the days when you got an order form with your invoice, posted it off with your order to the yard (or Hoseasons/Blakes) a week or so before your hols and your order was waiting for you when you arrived at the yard? Jeff
  22. Do you have to inform a member of staff that you have finished your meal/drink and will now be leaving the premises in order to return to your boat? What happens if you find that your boat has been moved in order to squeeze another one in and you notice that some damage has been done to your boat? Jeff
  23. Wonder how the BA would calculate a tariff for one of these. They would more than likely charge for a small vessel but on top of that do they have a price for "low flying objects" ??? The other question is how do they perform at less than 4 mph and can you imagine one of them "giving way" to a true sailing vessel? Jeff
  24. I don't get involved with faceache so will have to wait hope. Jeff The sooner the better
  25. Just think about it. If things didn't go wrong we would never now how to put things right again !! I wish Richardsons good luck with the necessary repairs on this one and hopefully it will not be too expensive and not take too long to sort it and maybe introduce some updates that had not been feasible initially. Jeff
