  1. Thanks Iain Absolutely Jean, one of two dykes leading to Rockland Broad the other one being Short Dyke.
  2. Top left (A) is Fleet Dyke off the River Yare. Top right (B) is the River Ant at Dilham. Bottom left (C) is an old dyke (unnavigable) on the River Yare leading into Old Wood Whitlingham. Bottom right (D) is the River Bure at Belaugh So the odd one out is bottom left (C) as it's unnavigable and marked with a red buoy (edited out )
  3. I thought Peter might like to see these photos of him on Jenny Morgan sailing up the Bure in September 2013
  4. I've hired either Melody 1 or Melody 2 about seven times over the last few years. There are subtle differences between each of the four. Small things like the helmsmen's seat and wheel, finish of the kitchen units, placement of the sink and drainer etc. If I remember rightly Melody 1 has a double at the front with a small seat like on San Remo. Melody 4 doesn't have the sink in the forward cabin or the sloping handrails at the back. The boat handles really well, which makes it a joy to hire solo. With 360 degrees of glass and a sliding sunroof the boat is light and airy and with the Nanni engine aft quiet too. Pete
  5. Hi Clive Did you ever get around to measuring the air draft on Astral Gem and Clarion? I know Barnes Brinkcraft have their Porter & Haylett 900 FB class marked on the dash as 7ft 10in, with no modification to the flying bridge. Thanks Pete
