  1. We bought the Wayford in october 2015 so that was not us just to be clear ;-)
  2. Officially 4 but on notice for a downgrade. Totally overhauled processes and the kitchen area to achieve the 5 which required closing the kitchen for a week for the new floor.
  3. Dear All, Just in case you where wondering where to enter the discount code here is a quick how to. Firstly search for the dates and number of people required. Then you are presented with a screen with the rooms and the dates across, this shows the prices. In the top right of this screen is a box "enter a promotional code" place the code TNBNET2015 in this box and press the apply button. The prices will now change to the discounted ones and you can proceed with checkout. Then when you check out simply paste your forum name in the "comments" box below. I hope this helps make things a little easier. I note some folks are asking why internet only. Well my reasoning is this I wanted to give a good offer and an offer where in the absence of a membership card it would be easy to administer. Unfortunately when the hotel was taken over previously the reception area was removed leaving bar staff to check people in. I am in the process of returning the reception back (requires some building work) and we have already opened up the door down at the bottom which was sealed off. So at the moment I have a system which works from the bar (bizarrely it was in the kitchen before) so I want that when NBN members come in or check out they will simply do so and any member of staff will be able to do it as no discount will need to be applied as its done at the point of booking. I hope that makes sense, Regards Kris
  4. At the moment they are for sale for £150,000 but not that long ago (2005)they where sold for £30,000 or so going by the land registry. Problem is I guess the only person who would pay top dollar would be us at the hotel as theoretically we could collect the money from the hotel. However when I considered that it just did not really make sense sending people 30m2 away and I cannot see how they pull enough in to pay someone to sit there all day. You can also add the hassle of maintenance and insurance on top of that. Certainly not £150,000 to me £30,000 is nearer the right price. With regard to discount nobody has been in to see me about it but if i can get the time over the next week I will try and reach out to the owner of the land.
  5. Many thanks for your kind words. This website is just a temporary one once the rooms and area are done i will have professional photos done and try and make it even better. There is so much to improve but unfortunately it all takes time but the ball is definitely rolling.
  6. So far new boilers stoves installed in lounge and bar areas Intermediate decor changes in the lounge and bar area (before we get to seriously change them) Opened the "front door" up again which was filled in to allow people to access via the original Woodfarm Inn end. Internet from 2 > 10 meg with another line hopefully going live today Loads of behind the scenes upgrades and changes which Next 4 weeks Rolling room refurbishment starting end of this month and will be ongoing. Wifi transmitters 6 points upstairs (just waiting for cabling contractor to start) Some opening up in the lounge area and considering opening up the skylight that was filled in. Planned (Jan onwards) Addressing the white tiles in the bar rear of bar area and upgrading toilets Returning reception to the original location so customers do not have to check in at the bar Wait and see ;-)
  7. We took it over as a going concern so we have been open since we arrived. Hopefully you will notice an improvement... the building will take some time to improve.
  8. I have emailed you. I used the one on the advertising thread.
  9. Good question At present the tills and back end systems are all being changed. I am not really one for discounting as i would rather offer something that was reasonable value in the first place. That said I will try and put in some special offers/loyalty programmes in with the new system.
  10. Hello all forum members. I am Kris from the Wayford Bridge Inn (as of 5th October). I have already bumped into a few forum members in the passed two weeks and I just wanted to say hi and not be aloof. The Wayford needs a lot of work to bring it up to scratch but I will try and contribute as much as time allows. Ps I fancied an advert on the side of the forum but the email bounced?
