The two Haines boats at Richardsons seem to be no longer available.

Am I missing something as both these boats seem all inclusive when you look at the pricing on Richardsons Web site ?

I,m of the opinion that Thorpe Green would be an ideal location for the water bikes

Reading the previews for the boat, WRC knew or should of known about this problem before they gave you the boat.

I had looked into booking this boat for next May a couple of weeks ago but the recent reviews of people who had booked the boat all flagged up battery issues.

Unfortunately I,ve noticed that people are at less keen to lend a hand when you're mooring up at the moment

I also had problems with Silents thrusters only working when they felt like it last October.I told the yard and they said they were aware of the problem

The first thing I look for on a boat is an island bed, mountaineering over the wife a couple of times a night to use the bathroom is no fun.If price is no problem ,a newish Ferry Marina is a very safe choice.

I have hired both Whisper Emblem and Silent Emblem, both times in October, and can not recall having to run the engine at moorings to recharge the batteries. These boats are all electric but we always cruised for hours during the day.

If you select the boat first rather than do a general search using the dates,you can get a price.

I am not sure price would be a problem as quite often with couples two are paying whilst with a small family only one is paying. The shortage of top end two berth boats is why you often see only two people on the larger top end hire boats.

As someone who hires for 11 nights most October's, the disadvantage of shorter days is greatly outweighed by the ability of been able to moor at most destinations at any time and the weather is usually still quite good. Not sure i would be so kean on Dec,Jan or Feb.

Having hired Gleaming Light 1 last year, I really hope Herbert Woods fit it out as a luxury 2 berth rather than another 4 berth.I,m sure there is a larger market for well thought out 2 berth,s rather than squashed in 4 to 6 berths.

Ferry Marina's New boats may not be as pleasing to the eye for some but I find that their interior has an excellent layout and are very comfortable. They are very easy to handle and give great visibility from the upper helm.I am quite happy with the trade off to be able to hire this type of boat.

I emailed Richardsons this morning and they rang me just after lunch.The 2 week holiday in May has become a 1 week holiday in late June on Swan Rapture with the partial refund i was due taken off my October holiday on Carousel.I just hope i,m not having another conversation with them in early June.

I have a boat booked with Richardsons for 2 weeks from May 2.I expect they are waiting to see if the lockdown is extended before making any decisions.Although i do not expect the holiday to go ahead i would like to use the money i,ve already paid them to be used to pay for a boat i,ve got booked for October with them.At least that way they still have my money.

With people being advised not to frequent pubs etc,whats the liklyhood of boating holidays being cancelled over the next few months ?

Ferry and the Waveny River Centre are by far the dearest for 10 or 11 day holidays unless you can get a large last minute discount.

Hello Susan I am on Silent right now and twice the thrusters have failed on me.I called into the yard when passing today and of course they worked perfectly.Apart from that it's a great boat.

If companies are having to discount to get boats out,dosn't this imply a problem with their pricing in the first place?

Ferry are offering 30% off selected boats on holidays taken before July 25.Why would anyone book a boat with them outside of the school holidays.You could save a large amount by waiting .
