  1. We were at Reedham the other day and the ranger on duty did come out and have a look as we moored up but when it was clear we were ok he went back in. I saw him help others though, maybe it was just an off day.
  2. We were tempted to pop in when we cruised past on Sunday. Sweet freedom was the first boat we hired.
  3. We have an air draft of 7'2 so may have a slow run up and see if we will fit. Went under Beccles old bridge today, looks like it's had a bit of damage from that boat getting stuck the other day.
  4. Will have to a search on that one. Doesn't seem to be any bridge helght info just the no hire craft sign.
  5. We had a trip into Norwich yesterday, turned around just past the yacht station and wondered has anyone been any further past the hire craft limit? It says shallow water so we didn't chance it. Can't find any info. Cheers
  6. There's still quite a few boats not moving at Acle Dyke.

  10. I rang Statham and they just gave me the same phone number I already had. Left 2 messages and emailed but no joy.
  11. Is the Richardson's Marina at horning still open for work? Tried ringing a few times but no answer. Cheers.
  12. Hi all. I've got a Volvo Penta 100B leg and want to change the prop. Where is the best place to buy a volvo fittment prop or is there a conversion for the leg shaft so I can use a different prop? Next question, I'll need to drag the boat out of the water to get at the leg, don't fancy leaning off of the bahing platform! it's only a 23foot boat where is the most resonable place on the broads that can either lift on take out on a trailer? Thanks in advance.
  13. Boulter marine it was, pump out and 108 litres of diesel!
  14. Wasn't sure if they would be there but will have a chug by tomorrow and have a look. Cheers ☺️
  15. What yards are open for private boat pump outs this weekend on the Northern rivers?
  16. Enjoy all, think of me stuck on call till Monday
  17. I've got 2 separate sockets that are fed from an inverter the rest are from shore power. No chance of a bang from out of phase voltage crossing. Grendel's diagram for battery wiring is spot on. Oh yes, it's not a good idea to pick battery terminals...unless you're an engineer, then it's encouraged.
  18. Well, that's what we did. Ended up buying a boat then a year later we moved up here!
  19. Let me know what you need in the way of fire extinguishers etc. I will get you a price. Sent from my Moto C Plus using Tapatalk
  20. When we first got our boat, I completely fell out of love with it. I shed blood on it, the dam thing wouldn't go in a straight line, it was hell! Now after a year I still hate it....no, l love it. It gained us a foot hold in Norfolk and we moved here! Best thing we've done. Good luck to you Robin, I'm sure everything will work out in the end. 21. Yes, I just couldn't remember what it was called! Suffering from early onset of I can't remember where my dam car keys are! Sent from my Moto C Plus using Tapatalk
  22. When we hired a larger boat than we have now Reedham bridge swung even though we didn't need it but when we contacted St. Olaves they said they couldn't swing as a train was due, we waited for an hour...no train! Seems to me that it all depends on who is on duty at the time. Sent from my Moto C Plus using Tapatalk
  23. Well done Robin, did drive by this morning but had to go to a job in Acle . Will be traveling back past Brundell later on if you need anything. Paul Sent from my Moto C Plus using Tapatalk
