  1. Could someone translate for me please.
  2. Dearest Robin why wait for the season to heat up to make a new video. You do have more broads video footage from all your blogs to make a promo video. And there's plenty of pictures from the forums members for you to produce a recognised video. Strike while the irons hot.
  3. Vaughan that was days when bread was proper bread and lasted. Not like this bread what goes stale after a day. My mother use to do the same stuffing the old loaf out. I have Squirrels to I feed them on the bigger feeder and they don't butcher the small ones now. Little sods they was. But great to watch.
  4. Iam not criticising Jonzo. All I said was the promo video had no broads or boat pictures.
  5. Fantastic cooking there Geoffrey. Will definitely be giving them a try.
  6. I normally use the dripping from the Sunday roast to make my own bird feed. Fat with sunflower seeds and peanuts in old yogurt pots with a length of string knotted to a a plastic washer on the bottom. They don't seem to last long the birds love them and it's so cheap to do. My grandson reckons I should take them on dragons den. I've only just started to get starlings back in my garden. Bacon rind they seem to enjoy.
  7. Now I've just got back off a 3 week cruise . We only went only went because we saw an advert on the television what showed what we was getting and things to do. The wife was disappointed that Rob Brydon wasn't going to be onboard. Anyhow sorry I'm giving the big thumbs downs for the promo. I would say it was like a corporate presentation of a business into the community. It's great that the team on here are promoting the nbn. But how ever why don't you use video and photos from nbn members who have posted on the forum and then people will see the full side of the broads on and off the boat. There was plenty of pictures entered for the Calendar competition what could be made into a photo slide show. Just a thought.
  8. I for one enjoy this forum immensely. Great topics and discussion and you can get your point across even if it does ruffles some feathers at times. I only wanted to ask the question if the key king pins of this forum who work very hard to keep this going decided to leave to where we us members would be. But as I can see and read that this forum is here to stay is what is great. Yes Iam a member of 2 Facebook groups one is Nbb Norfolk broad boaters and Love the Norfolk broads. And I expect others on here are members to. But i use the nbn as my main broads site. It's the best. It is as simple as that.
  9. My my you have had your work cut out on her. Doing a cracking job there boys. I would of loved to of come up and given a hand. My arthritic hands would of caused more hassle. Saying that good for making tea tho. She will be a picture when she is completed and back in the water. Only one gripe tho. Robin why haven't you posted your pictures and video on the nbn site instead you've put it all on the nbb site. That's naughty and unloyal of you, or are you defecting to the other side. . Good luck with the rest of it. Keep up the good work guys your doing a splendid job.
  10. That's great news to hear. I don't want to leave I agree with JM and Grace. I was just concerned by it and jonzo if I could help I would. My old age and tech don't mix. So who is this nbb can anyone shine any light on them ?. I see Rascal posts a lot of posts and pictures on there.
  11. I'm concerned about this forum if a new technology person is not found. Big question is what happens if this doesn't happen. Does that mean the end of this forum and its members. I know there's other sites and Facebook pages on the broads. I mean our biggest competition is nbb. There Facebook page has thousands of members. I've even noticed that one of the members posts more content on there than on here. So can any of the team tell us that NBN is here to stay or is it abandon ship.?
  12. Easy answer to this folks. Well in my opinion. There crash bars. Lets face it majority of day boat hirers I've come across have had no respect for other boat users especially bigger boats. So theses bars are anti ram bars so we don't drive over the top of them in anger.
  13. What some cracking boats. Bigger the better I say. Now that's what you call 1st class that's great news another yard has started up. Especially in the south. So who's going to be the first to hire one of them ?. And really who cares if it's not aloud down the Chet. I mean if you have a big craft like that you want to be cruising and showing off on the big rivers I know I would. Pimms o' clock on the top outside deck.
  14. Another great Jimmy Perry and David Croft show. Who made Gordon Kaye a big house hold name. Brilliantly written very funny. Such a shame all these great actors coming to there ends. The beauty of it. Is There never forgotten and there always being repeated on the TV. So it's like there still here entertaining us. What is so sad is there's no new entertainment being written how it was. Perry and Croft are lengends in there writing like john Sullivan. So I raise a glass to Gordon Kaye and thank you for your laughs.
  15. Thank you for that. I did wonder. You guys do a great job out there.
  16. You was lucky scrumpy he didn't pump your pint glass out. The colour might of distracted him.
  17. I will pass the Waveney. And just go up to beecles. Got to agree with scrumpy on that DIY pump out malarkey. And having only a limited time. I will leave that for the brave and the experience ones. How can one stand there pumping out holding a Gin and tonic with the woft of. Well you know what. It would make my lemon term.
  18. When did Oulton broad pump close. That was so handy for a pump out before we went back up north. It was good easy birth to moor at. You just cruised in. A bit higher price than others but worth it. That be a great loss now.
  19. Is there a updated list for all the toilet pump outs stations on the northern and southern rivers. As some have closed or closing. It would be great to know which are open and what a closed now. Many thanks.
  20. A bit of a silly question I'm going to ask. Why isn't the lifeboat under the RNLI control ?.
  21. My local make there own secret recipe pate. It is bloody lovely. I'm a sucker for pate. Especially if I'm in france. Can't beat it with lovely crusty french stick.
  22. Iam the same put on 3 stone already reading all these cooking threads.
  23. Defo give this a go with the toad and hole with beans.
  24. Me and the wife always pack the breville with us. Even had it cooking in the premier inn one night.
