  1. If you can pass under Potter Heigham bridge there will be a few I should think as many cruisers have had to come the other side in recent months/seasons due to passage
  2. The London. Pride was excellent last weekend in the Swan
  3. It’s a shame someone such as Fairline can’t be persuaded to buy it , much more sensible than their Oundle base which means boats have to be transported by road
  4. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325991793257?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=M85SrFLKQLC&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=lAzMrkFURHm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  5. Pipedreams all tucked up for a couple of weeks , then we are down for a full week afloat ,can’t wait !!!
  6. Today 20mins before low water at Ludham bridge
  7. That’s the way we normally go into Boulters too , but when the wind is up it’s definitely a challenge
  8. Marker showing 7ft6” half an hour before low tide , actual clearance was about 7ft10”
  9. Lovely convivial evening in The Crown in the company of Gary , Charlotte and Oscar . Left the wet shed at 09:00 gentle cruise down the Ant , saw a couple of hire boats (Herbert Woods) and one privateer . Popped into Boulters , very windy so made a complete c**k up of that , pump out and diesel top up and now moored up on Horning staithe
  10. Thank you , was going to head initially for Horning , Maltsters still closed 😢, if Horning staithe full then probably Womack
  11. Leaving for Norfolk shortly for a weekend afloat , hope to see a few fellow forumites on our travels , we will undoubtedly spend this evening in the Crown Catfield though . with any luck Ludham bridge will be more passable this weekend
  12. Sounds as if “the computer says no” attitude has become their practice now , they used to say that if we cancelled then we would have to pay the balance of the full deposit but if the boat was rented for the week we cancelled then we would get back all but the £50 early booking discounted deposit.
  13. That’s most welcome , any idea of the pricing at all ?
  14. I too hate a plate to be piled high , hence I do not enjoy a carvery , I would far rather put a smaller amount on my plate and go back if I wanted more, sadly carveries do not permit this .
  15. Whilst this thread has contained some interesting information it has sadly evolved into something we try and avoid on the NBN and has turned confrontational , there are always differing opinions on many subjects and healthy discussion is encouraged however this does not mean that confrontational posts will be permitted , please keep it civil to avoid locking or potentially removing this thread
  16. Also check the post / mooring ring you are mooring to is stable and firm
  17. Typical , I’m back how at work now 🤬
  18. Can I echo our esteemed Chairman’s views and ask members to keep this thread solely as it was intended and not as an us and them platform . Kate and I wish Richard a full and speedy recovery and hope his forum is back up and running soon .
  19. Correction , edges still frozen
  20. Arrived at Pipedreams , ice in the Richardson basin almost totally gone , water levels a good 4” lower than a fortnight ago , we intend to have a short cruise tomorrow (river ice dependant) , possible sample a few ales this evening at Catfield
