I would like to say a Huge thank you to all those who answered the distress call of a fellow boater -everyone rallied round and were amazing! Steve immediately answered my call and went to help, John kept him company until the ambulance arrived and the marvellous Chris volunteered to take care of Cerise Lady - she is now safely tucked back up in the wet shed. Thank you all so much, as there was little I could do from a distance, I am very grateful that both Simon and Cerise Lady were in such good hands.

All I will say is that we are still currently treating 90 covid-19 patients in our hospital and 30 waiting for results, 25 of these in intensive care - that doesn’t include any other patients that need urgent and emergency treatment who also need expert care or others that have had their cancer surgery delayed. if you want to talk semantics and interpret the latest information to suit your own goals that is your choice - but if you all suddenly go out, for whatever reason, you will potentially put an extra stain on the NHS and those that are trying to combat this disease.
