  1. Griff, I had 3 ships joining HMS Diomede in 1979, then HMS Aurora, then lastly HMS Beagle. I remember the hideous sea sickness I had out of Portland into a force 10 on the Dimweed! Never shook it completely and was decidedly worse after a wknd on the pop somewhere! Sam (Weller)
  2. Thanks Alan, I have the mats down in the cockpit to protect the wood! I should have taken some pics of it!
  3. Original and unmolested boat, lovely stripy wooden cockpit deck, Bukh diesel on an Enfield stern drive. Boulters have just fitted a new starter motor, the old one was a bit sticky. 12v and 240 shore power, two fitted battery chargers, cold water, solar, 2 canopies (1 is winter canopy), Glomex TV system and arial. V berth with infill and cushion, side berth which makes small double. 2 burner hob and oven, fitted gas fridge. Boat safety until 2019. She's at Langley. We'd like £4495 but will listen to sensible offers. Thanks Gary and Pam 07854792843. Bought bigger boat!
  4. Thank you for the warm welcome everyone. I hope to see some of you outy and abouty!
  5. Hi, It has an air draft of 7' 6" so won't go under Potter or Wroxham.
  6. Morning all, Just purchased a lovely old Birchwood 22 'Fly Eagle' and were moored at Langley Dyke. In all there are 3 boats in our 'fleet' at Langley (all family relations or friends) which makes for some fun trips, my Birchwood, an Eastwood 24 and a Wavey Rider 19. Whether my boating passion came from 11 years in the Royal Navy (you'd have thought I'd have had enough of it) or my first Hoseasons holiday on the Great Ouse back in June (the really hot week) I'm not sure. I am sure about the beauty of the broads though and I'm looking forward to exploring as much of it as I can. Bridges permitting that is! Cheers Gary
