I suspect Dad of sharing more chip than ham but that is hardly the fault of the establishment! Will definitely visit again. The Nelson, Reedham: ๐๐๐๐๐ Been here before and more than happy to return anytime. A pub dog is always a good indicator of a warm welcome. Dad had a full rack of ribs which he shared generously (we both overdid it a bit which of course is "a good thing" The White Horse, Chedgrave: ๐๐๐๐๐ What can I bark that hasn't already been barked? Lovely in every way and I'm pretty sure no one noticed when I threw up. Coldham Hall ๐๐๐๐๐ This was the favourite of the week for me, the staff loved me more than mum & dad do and I wanted to stay with them forever The Ferry Inn, Stokesby ๐๐๐๐๐ An old favourite, very friendly and welcoming, good food and what a relief after being stuck on the bยฃ@&#y boat for 6 hours that food was served at 4pm. We stayed the night ๐ The Kings Head, Ludham ๐๐๐๐๐ Both staff and other customers worshipped me as one would expect. Good food and although one doesn't carry money (obviously) my staff remarked on the good value. Some general points a Greyhound really should point out about one's dining out - 1. I never get to choose the venue ๐ 2. Mum and dad both tend to drink fizzy beer of foreign origin so I can't begin to review it ๐๐คฎ 3. Scraps from mum's plate are usually as small as contractual obligation allow and fall into the category of "You can have this.. if you must" I am currently exploring the possibility of a claim under the "Minimum Scraps Act (2007) as amended (2018) Subsection IV para 13" Which, as you know, specifies that scraps should be of sufficient quantity to taste without actually chewing. Anyway, the ball's in her court... although I will of course fetch it all day long. Danni Dog

For the first time in many years we stopped here for lunch and a few pints. It was really lovely, good food and the staff were great, very nice and welcoming. Can highly recommend a visit here, we will certainly be back. Danni dog has also awarded the coveted 5 Bone rating! ๐๐๐๐๐

My engine has only done 30 hours since it's last service in October, which is not a lot but it includes the winter months. I just did a quick oil level check with the dipstick and the oil is so clean that at first I thought it was too low to be registering. I'm not complaining but I have never seen such clean oil on a dipstick and I've naturally done many many oil level checks over the years. So, just checking in with more knowledgeable members that this isn't a sign of an underlying problem despite being a good thing on the face of it? Assuming those posts are the same as the ones in their private moorings you have to "load" them using a card. The boats you saw either had cards from Woods already or were using money left on the post by previous visitors. If those posts are not on the same system... ignore the above ๐

I have never used the power poinst on a public mooring (yet) but the splitter to share a post sounds like a very good idea ๐

Would it be possible or practicle to train up a team of handover instructors? In the same way cleaners are hired for changeover days maybe living around rivers are enough retired and experienced people who could supplement their income and enjoy being involved. On the face of it I realise it doesn't sound very practicle but even though it will increase costs a little it could be made to work and it could prove popular with hirers. It would increase the time available for handover instruction and the possible decrease in accident damage and increase in reputation would mitigate some of the cost. I should add this is just "thinking out loud" I know nothing about running a boat yard or business (obviously ๐)
