When we first bought Keleka I looked at the owners club but they operate a strict Β£25 per year or part of. Although they are perfectly clear about this up front there is also no online sign up and if you don't pay by cheque you have to contact them to arrange a BACS payment. I don't think of any of this as particularly unreasonable but it's all a bit last century for me.
I'm sure it's a well run organisation but I can't be bothered with faff for what is basically a shared interest club which excludes non members from resources.
The times people say that after meeting me π π
It was lovely to meet up at last... next time I'll arrange less wind and more fragrance lol Those two things are entirely unconnected π
The wording does seem to imply that there is a possibility at busy times that your boat may be moved and end up double moored!
This is probably just a "reserved right" in case of customers who can't (won't) comply with polite requests.
I predict a reworded notice at some point if and when it becomes noticeable that some privateers are put off from mooring at all
Perhaps window etching boat name and reg number would be a deterrent?
Although I can imagine there may be problems selling on and it wouldn't deter so called "joyriders"
There may (or may not) be one or two flaws with this idea π
No revolutions please, we're British (other nationalities are available).
When you come right down to it... Oil companies have us over a barrel. π
My toll is Β£0.98p less than last year.
I'm seeking financial advice on how to invest my new found wealth π
(Changed to a slightly smaller boat, although we have more space than before so a rare win/win)
A very long, very hot shower, a cold beer and a roast chicken dinner.... Now feeling almost human again. The job isn't finished but the hardest, most aromatic work is done so I'm happy with that π
