    Deary me, more questions..

Relatively new boat, designed for 12v use.  So why would I need a 240V hook up?

Oh and anyone fitted a wind turbine to keep batteries ticking over??

    R&M

It all depends what you want from your boat, plenty of boats have no 240v hook up, no fridge or heating and I know of one person who was disappointed with the input of a wind turbine. If you do have a fridge you can always switch it off and leave the door open whilst away.

Well a big thank you all.

Chris I will rework the planed trip and take your advice..

Actually same with gas cylinder, only a small one.  Wish I knew the type of gas and valve fitting I would bring one from home.

Cant NBS advise you on the gas cylinder?

I just use a huawei mifi dongle, i do have one with external antennae, as there are a couple of areas where you can lose signal at low tide on the southern rivers. so the antennae need to be placed high at those locations.

Is that a proper waterproof antennae or something you place in a bag and tie it up high?

Looking for a waterproof antennae if anyone can recommend one.

Surely, quoting someone is done for ease of context in making replies. I don't think it implies any criticism, if not we would all be at each throats!

I would agree however I can see neither agreement nor disagreement in the reply so why add the quote.

  5. When one posts on the internet you do so with the understanding that you have no control on being quoted, threads drifting and any editting taking place. It has always been so hence why the internet can be a dangerous place.

Healthy debates are good, unhealthy debates get shut down here quicker than other platforms which is no bad thing.

I bet after the first half dozen, you will have found the easy way and be getting 3 or more done per day.

That really depends on a few things. Such as are the fixing surfaces all plumb, the amount of silicone used during fitting what is there which will need to be removed plus the quality of the new doors.

    Good luck.

Apologies, my post was making light of the mentioned deleted posts in this topic which referenced the running aground being due to posts on Breydon being missing.

Sorry for any confusion due to my attempt at humour

Ah whoosh, now I feel daft for missing the joke. :default_dunce:

You are not alone, lots of posts on Breydon have been deleted which appears to be causing the problems :default_norty:

Do you know why, was any reason given?

I believe the land from which Kris Cruisers operate is owned by the elderly lady who lives on the opposite bank.

That would be the elderly lady that lives in the house on the top of the hill and who keeps, or did keep a blooming big cannon trained on the dividing bridge that Broads01 went under shortly after collecting their boat.

The pub always  had a good trade over the winter.Do agree , think pub moorings  would help.

I would say that was down to the locals judging by the cars in the car park.

Insurance is a service where if there is not strict compliance, they will simply not pay out.

That all depends on what you tell them without breaking any rules.
