One can only assume that whoever is responsible for customer safety at Broom has done their homework and set navigation limits that their craft can reach and return from, especially in the light of the recently introduced QAB scheme that Broads hire operators are now required to belong to.

My thoughts exactly! Any company willing to invest in the southern waters should be applauded not stabbed in the back before they have even started. After all it would be a pretty dumb move if it failed and whoever signed off the project could expect their P45 soon.

Is there such a thing as booster receiver aerial that we could mount on a pole like we have our TV aerial on that would transfer the wifi signal into our boat.

    Any help will be appreciated.

The simple answer is Yes there is. Search Wi-Fi booster.

    How was the breakfast?

I havent tried it but their main meals are very good and they have recently added new choices to the menu. Most dishes are still well priced with a couple overpriced in my opinon. Always very busy for Sunday roast meals so you should book ahead.

Hi If he intends to drive it in the rain it needs a 6inch square of ally clipped on the inside of the font grill in line with the distributor cap to stop water blowing onto the cap and shorting out the ignition. John

Or a yellow marigold rubber glove over the distribtor cap. :default_biggrin:

We were moored at the Berney last night and at about 6 am this morning a large coastguard helicopter appeared to be searching Breydon water and up as far as goodchilds.

The search area for the missing person has been reported to be between Burgh Castle and Braydon Waters

So Too are Ambulance,Air Ambulance and Fire service.

I can see how the second and third might be stood down but surprised at the first Ian unless paramedics are counted separately.

But would they arrive, in a motor ambulance, equipped to deal with an emergency which may have happened a mile or two from the nearest road access?  In which case they would be available to transport the ambulance paramedics to the scene of the accident.  Something I have done more than once in a boatyard towboat, because it was there and readily available.

Alas you have missed my point which was simply which service would you expect to arrive first.

Harry has confirmed he's managed to get leave from next Saturday, so he'll be with us for our second week. My finely tuned plans for going down south on Tuesday and staying down south for a week have gone out of the window.

Cant Harry make his way south then you could pick him up at The White Heron visitor moorings.
