  1. It's slowly melting but still quite thick in places at and around Broadsedge ..

  6. Hi Ian, yes I can certainly agree... wife has had lung cancer twice now in 3 years with the latest in March resulting in her lung being removed.. sadly it was not a full success as after a scan it showed some more tumours that are extremely close to an artery... now it is intense radiotherapy for her every day 5 days per week for a period of of 4 weeks at Barts st Paul's... this week all preliminary tests have been done including the remaining lung efficency test , mask/mesh frame that will cover the area needing treatment. Now we wait for the commencement date of the radiotherapy to begin. Stressful time for us all even though I've managed to stay at work I know that might change depending on condition and reaction to her course of treatment. Oh we are also in Broadsedge and last weekend had a wander and saw your boat looking splendid. All the best Ian with your ongoing treatment .
  7. Our sheerline uses Silent Gliss tracks and have recently purchased a pack of 50 sliders and hooks from ebay ... think they came to around £10 and matched the existing track perfectly...
  8. Yes will do as we will be around Salhouse area... not sure if it will be Friday or Saturday either way it will be good to get out on the boat
  9. We still might see a few of you about over the weekend.. other half's op was not the ideal result and she will be moving onto a 10 day course of radiotherapy in the next week or so... so we will take the boat out this weekend before she has her sessions... couldn't make the date for sure as not knowing her condition..
  10. Sadly due to medical reasons from my partner we will be unable to attend this year's meet... so could I request we are removed from the list.
  11. Think we are up tomorrow for a few days.... give boat a wash and may go out for a few days..
  12. Ooopss it should have been 1.5kg 😆 🤣 😂
  13. Hi John... we have a Ninja Foodi 15 in 1 machine... it does everything from boiled eggs to baking bread. The one we have uses the same lid and does steaming and pressure cooking. It's quite a big beast but it does roast a 5 kg chicken no problem. We have had ours over a year now and is used at least once a day. Cooking a roast joint is so much easier as it has a steam/roast function. As with all these it takes a little getting used to and must say some impressive results. Think at the time when we got it it was around £245 most certainly a considered purchase but has proved its worth.
  14. Spent the day armed with a mop/broom and many buckets of water giving the boat its wake up wash... been a fantastic day weather wise.
  15. Should have added CC .. centre cockpit and AC is the aft cockpit version .
  16. I think that 950 is the length... 9.5 mtrs.
  17. Agree with what others have said regarding what is suitable and meets your needs and requirements regarding boat style design and fit out. We changed our boat due to the Mrs having mobility issues (previous boat was 2014 Shetland 27i) and waited for over 6 months for our current boat to find us/come to market as we wanted a specific layout. We now have Sheerline 950 centre cockpit but with a 5 berth layout which we find works well for us plus having a cut out stern and good side decks with plenty of hand rails making getting on and off when stern on moored or side on easy... warm enough in the winter and great when the weather is playing ball allowing the electric sliding canopy open. All I can say is go and view as many styles as possible and get a feel of what suits and meets your needs more than others that then should help your decision a little easier as to what design/style is best for you. With the weather being reasonably mild I'm sure you will find owners waking their boats up from the winter over the next couple of weekends at their marinas and I'm sure they would gladly answer any questions you might have... I'll be up at mine from tomorrow evening getting it washed and cleaned over the weekend come rain or shine lol..
  18. Great photos and weather looked good if only a little cold...
  19. No worries... glad it helped ... all the pouches are vulnerable to damage as the key is slid in and that then removes the protective film/coating... I was gobsmacked when I first realised mine wasn't working.
  20. Most cars now allow you to switch off the keyless entry by means of either car dealer doing it fir you or do it yourself with a OMBD reader ... it does then mean keyless entry is then cancelled and to unlock the doors you will need to press the button on your key fob/transmitter... Have done this to both my cars and also added a Ghost 2 immobiliser and a steering wheel disk lock to them ... joys of living in East London lol...
  21. It worth checking that if using a Faraday shielding pouch that it works after a period of time ... the inner lining material of the pouch is coated in a signal shielding product that is easily damaged when inserting keys/fob and unbeknown to you your signal is being leaked out. Have had a few that have done this and they were not the cheapest either just check by putting key in the pouch and stand next to your vehicle and attempt to gain entry and start it.. have had only 1 that lasted more than 6 months. I have opted to use a similar design but an actual Faraday box which is similar to a small jewellery/trinket box that has a lid and is lined in the shielding material ... difference is keys are placed inside and not slid inside hence less or no damage to material... had same box now for nearly 18 months and still works perfectly and easily fits more than one set of keys in it with no signal loss ... Also have a box onboard the boat as at times we can park close to our boat on its home mooring.
  22. Yes Tesco Stalham has E5 Premium (Momentum) ...filled up there yesterday
  23. Stay clear and distance yourself from himJohn... both myself and the Mrs know you from a couple of meets and always consider you of good standing and most of all a friend.
  24. You soon get used to playing the fuel station shuffle... mines my daily driver and to be honest anything over 22mpg is a bonus lol...
